Betrothal Cover Reveal

Today is the first day of October, my favorite month in the whole year.  So to celebrate, I’ve chosen today to reveal to the world the cover for my upcoming medieval romance novella Betrothal:  Book 1 of a series of three medieval romances under the collective title Time Enough To Love.  The first book is scheduled to be released in late October.  I’ll keep you posted if there is a change in that.

Isn’t that cover gorgeous?  I just love it! My cover artist, the lovely and talented Danielle Fine, tried hard to give me exactly what I wanted.  She worked her magic fingers and did exactly that!  Way to go, Danielle!  If you’d like to look at more of Danielle’s work, please visit her site, By Definition.

I’m more than excited about this book and this series.  Time Enough To Love was the very first romance novel I wrote.  I loved the story, I loved the time period, I loved the characters.  So much that I wrote an epic novel–187K words.  Fortunately, I realized there were some chapters and sections I could cut.  I cut one whole chapter because I realized that nothing happened in the chapter–Alyse and Geoffrey visit a monastery and find it deserted.  Gripping drama there.  I cut the long chapter and covered their reason for going in about a sentence and moved on. LOL

So now it’s down to approximately 140K and still too long for conventional publishing.  But rather than cut out more, I decided to break the novel into thirds (which it does very easily) and self-publish the three novellas as a series or trilogy.  All three books-Betrothal, Betrayal, and Beleaguered–have the same characters who work out the problems begun in the first book.  A bit unorthodox?  Perhaps.  But books 2 and 3 are rather unorthodox as well.  Betrothal is a very conventional romance, almost sweet except for a couple of very sexy scenes.  The other books veer off into uncharted territory for traditional romance, though many of today’s readers may not be quite so upset.

It’s my story and I’m sticking to it. 🙂

So here is the current “official” blurb for Betrothal and an excerpt to keep your appetite whetted:

Blurb for Betrothal:  Book 1 of Time Enough To Love:

Lady Alyse de Courcey is head over heels in love with a man to whom she’s barely spoken,  Thomas Knowlton, a nobleman in King Edward III’s court.  Alyse would give anything to marry him. However, she must come to terms with her betrothal to Thomas’s best friend, Sir Geoffrey Longford, a handsome and imposing knight, yet hardly the man she wants to wed.  She continues to cherish hopes of Thomas, though as her nuptials approach, Geoffrey is the one most often on her mind.

Sir Geoffrey Longford is bound by his father’s hand to wed Lady Alyse.  And Geoffrey is eager to do so after meeting the young maid.  She is gentle and beautiful, with just enough spice and wit to make her seem a willing partner in and out of bed.  But when Geoffrey learns of her infatuation with his friend, and sees her regard for the man growing as their wedding day approaches, Geoffrey takes matters into his own hands.  Can he win his lady’s love without killing his friend into the bargain?

Excerpt from Betrothal:  Book 1 of Time Enough To Love:

Alyse took a deep breath and hoped her voice did not tremble. “Yea, Majesty, I will obey my father and accept his choice.”

King Edward nodded. “What say you then, Sir Geoffrey? Does the lady not speak fair? I vow she will make you a proper wife, and a dutiful one as well.”

Alyse turned, until that moment unaware that Geoffrey Longford stood beside her before the king. Chills coursed down her body as the king’s words echoed in her mind. The sensation of falling backward assailed her, as though she rushed away from the tall man at her side even as his figure loomed larger and larger in her sight.

Not Thomas Knowlton. Her numbed brain repeated the phrase, trying to comprehend that instead he would be her husband. Geoffrey Longford. God have mercy on me, for by the look of him, this man will not. Fearful, her gaze climbed higher, over his chest, over his chin, finally resting on the dark blue eyes turned toward her.

Geoffrey returned her appraisal, his eyes sweeping her figure as a smile crept over his face. “Your Majesty.” He spoke to the king but his attention remained fixed on Alyse. “I also give my obedience to you, and to my father, doing your bidding in all things. My father told me of the betrothal contract before I left his home and I resolved then to play the dutiful son. I find, however, I do not wish to act that role after all.” His eyes held hers as he paused.

Dear God, does he mean to renounce me here before the entire court? Alyse fixed her stare on the man beside her, willing herself to remain erect, despite the chills and heat that alternated through her body.

“Now I find I would rather play the ardent lover.” An amused murmur ran throughout the hall at his words.  Geoffrey grinned, his eyes now sparkling with humor and something more.  Despite the uneven light, Alyse saw an unfathomable promise in their dark depths. She took a deep breath and looked away.

“I affirm Lady Alyse to be all that could be hoped for in a wife. Please you and God, we shall make the match, and with all good haste.”

His self-satisfied tone and the thought of his outrageous teasing touched a contrary flame in Alyse.  She pulled her wits together and beamed brilliantly at her newly betrothed lord. “Take care my lord, for the wise women say ‘Marry in haste, repent at your leisure.’”

Sir Geoffrey raised a dark eyebrow while those around the banquet hall laughed. Heart pounding at her audacity, Alyse watched helplessly as he reached over and lifted her hand. “Such repentance could never be suffered too slowly, my lady, if ’twere your gentle hand that held mine through it.”

Laughter and applause washed over Alyse, struck absolutely dumb at the touch of his lips to her skin. Her heart pounded, and a strange roaring sounded in her ears; she wondered vaguely if she was about to faint. His big, rough hand shot a blazing streak up her arm that lodged in her chest, stilling her breath.

Spellbound, she watched him, head bent over her now smoldering hand, kissing it with an unhurried thoroughness that seemed to stop time. His lips scorched where they lingered, all the while spreading fire that consumed her body and mind. Had she the strength, she would have snatched it from his grasp to save herself from immolation. Other men had danced with her, held her hand, kissed it. None had never made her feel thus.

I hope you liked my Betrothal reveal:  cover, blurb and excerpt. I’ll update you when I have an idea of when the book will be released.  Hopefully soon! 🙂

Six Sentence Sunday–09/30/12 7 Days of Seduction: Day 6 “A Fantasy Come True”

Happy Sunday! For my Six Sentence Sunday post I’m back to  7 Days of Seduction, an erotic novella I hope will be ready for publication soon!

We’re still on Day 6–yet another colorful adventure.  Hunter’s just announced he wants a menage with her and one other person.  And Ashley’s a bit more freaked than normal. But Hunter is very persuasive.  This exchange takes up after my three sentences on Horny Hump Day, when Ashley discovers the third person is Sam, her ex-boyfriend.

Outrage subsided as a frisson of warmth materialized in her pussy. Somehow the thought of Sam joining them didn’t upset her as much as some stranger would. She’d made love with both of them before–all together before as the video attested.

“Do you think Sam will be okay with it?” She’d bet money on it, but you never knew.

Hunter strolled to the door and opened it on an equally naked Sam, grinning from ear to ear, like his biggest freakin’ fantasy had just come true.

So three is company now, hmmm?  I told you Hunter was persuasive. LOL

Thanks so much for visiting me today.  Now pop over to the Six Sentence Sunday list and check out the rest of the snippets.  They’re fantastic!

Sweet Saturday Sample: 9/29/12 Time Enough To Love–Betrothal: “First Rites”

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT!

Today is the final day to buy Only Scandal Will Do at the

Sale Price of $2.99 at Amazon

Now, welcome back to Sweet Saturday Sample!  All excerpts here are rated PG-13 or milder. Here’s another post from my new WIP, my medieval trilogy Time Enough To Love.

Part 1 is called Betrothal and I’m so excited!  Monday, October 1st is the cover reveal for Betrothal!  I still have a tentative release date of late-October, but I wanted to go on and reveal the gorgeous cover from Danielle Fine.  Please visit The Journal on Monday–all oohs and aahs will be appreciated. 🙂  I can’t wait to share more of this story with you. 🙂

The series is set in England and France in 1348.  Betrothal takes place at the court of King Edward III.

Lady Alyse de Courcy is a waiting gentlewoman to Princess Joanna, youngest daughter of King Edward.  After receiving the news that the new courtier, Sir Geoffrey Longford, is her betrothed, a dazed Alyse is less than happy with her arranged marriage.   I’m skipping ahead to the following night, at dinner, Geoffrey has drawn Alyse over to his table, hoping to talk to her in private.  He is met, however, with his group of friends, led by Thomas who think to make sport of the couple.

Dante Gabriel Rossetti

Towering over the men at the table, Geoffrey held up a hand and stared down at the courtiers, his face fixed into determined lines. They quieted, either from respect for their friend, or from the warning look in his darkened eyes.

“Gentles, I pray your patience. I agree it is meet that you are eager for the good company of Lady Alyse. I thank you for that compliment. But, as her intended husband, I claim first rites to her companionship this evening.” He plucked her hand from Patrick’s loosened grip and rubbed his fingers gently across the back of it. Startled, she sucked in air at his touch, and he smiled to himself at that victory. What battles might he win if he could just get her alone for a time?

A groan went up from his friends, but he continued. “We are met with but short acquaintance and have much to discuss before the wedding.” He narrowed his eyes and leaned forward, piercing each man by turn with his hard stare. A warning of serious consequences should they not acquiesce to his request.

“Oh, come now, Geoffrey,” Thomas drawled. “Let us all make Lady Alyse welcome. You will have much time together ere long, whilst we bachelors will be left to sigh alone. You should not claim all the sport!”

Geoffrey threw an indulgent smile at his friend. “Mayhap, Thomas, but you must make your addresses to my betrothed another time. I fear I must claim all of the lady’s attention at present. We have only just met and I would know her better ere we are wed.”

Thomas’s eyebrow went up. “But Geoffrey, we would all know her better ere you are wed.”

Geoffrey opened his mouth to answer Thomas’s bawdy comment, when a look at Alyse made him hesitate. While her face was suffused in redness, it nevertheless showed a marked interest in the men’s exchange, especially at Thomas’s barb. Her bright blue eyes gleamed at his friend, revealing her continued fascination with the man.

Sight of her rapt face triggered a rush of antagonism Geoffrey had never experienced before. If she will favor Thomas, by God, then let us see if she can hold her own against him in this jest. His eyes narrowed as he fought to speak lightly. “Indeed, what say you, my lady? Will you know my friend better before we are wed?”

The ante has just been raised.  But will Alyse rise to the occasion?

I hope you enjoyed this latest sample from  Time Enough to Love.  Stop by SSS tomorrow for six sentences from one of my works.   And today be sure to click here to visit more Sweet Samples.

Interview with A Demon Lover ~ Nikki Prince Unleashed!

Today, I have my good friend Nikki Prince, author of Demon Mine on the Journal.  Nikki’s going to answer some questions about herself and her new release.

First, thank you so much for coming on my blog today, Nikki! Tell us a little bit about your new release Demon Mine?

Samael is a fallen angel doomed to repeat his life and love for Liliana Jackson over and over again.  That is until she finally remembers who she is and the reason for the curse that has befallen them both.  For you see, Liliana was once Lilith the first wife of Adam and the lover of Samael.  Are they doomed to keep repeating the past?  Or will there be a new future for the reincarnated lovers?

Great premise, Nikki!  Do you only write in this genre?  And if not, what other genres/sub-genres do you write in?

I am aiming to write within the Interracial/Multicultural genre of Erotic romance in all sub genres of that such as: Contemporary, Paranormal, Fantasy, Horror etc.  But this by no means says that it’s the only genres I will ever write.  I prefer not to be boxed in.

I certainly understand wanting to have options in your writing. Can you tell us what was your inspiration for this story?

I saw a call for submission for a Succubus story and Demon Mine morphed out of that.

Wow!  Take the idea of a succubus and run with it!  Great way to get inspired!

Now, titles are one of the most important things to an author.  How did you come up with your title?  Was this the only title, or did you have a working title as well?

Demon Mine has always been the name for it.  Sometimes you just know and it feels right.

I agree with that!  Sometimes you just know!

I am a fanatic about my character names. Are the character names in Demon Mine special in any way?

Well, with Samael his name is actually from the fallen angel Samael and never changes unless Liliana or her sister Eva are trying to piss him off.  Liliana’s name is her connection to being Lilith.  I’m like you Jenna I love names and the names have to pick the characters.

I wondered about Samael.  It’s such a cool name!

So, what was your process for writing this book?  Is this different or the same as other books you’ve written?

I just sat down and wrote.  No process, really.   When I am really feeling it I can write for a long time and it flows.  If I need a break, it will show with me not being able to think of anything so I take a break.

No outlining at all?  Brave, brave girl!  I can’t do anything without an outline!

Do you have plans to turn Demon Mine into a series?

Yes, I have already started book number two.  This one will feature Eva and Clay.  Why or why not?  As I wrote the first book, the secondary characters kept talking to me and would not be quiet about wanting their own stories told and I could not see doing otherwise at that point.  There will be three books in all.  The series is called Karmic Lust.

I am such a fan of series! I have two others planned after my Scandal series!

I always wonder who started people off on their love affair with romance. Who was the first author and book you read in this genre?

God, I started reading romance books at the age of 12.  I can’t name the first book that I read.  Because once I read one I gobbled them up and constantly  looked for my favorite authors such as:  Violet Winspear, Janet Daily, Johanna Lindsey, Bertrice Small and the list goes on.

I’m so with you on the “bet you can’t read just one” syndrome! LOL

Sort of in that same vein, who has been the greatest influence on your writing?

I would have to say Bertrice Small.  I devoured everything she wrote.

And I have a couple of whimsical questions for you Nikki.

If you could have one wish granted just for you (not world peace, LOL), what would you wish for?

My wish would be to make sure my kids had a home with a backyard (we live in an apartment right now).

Awww, I so understand that!  And I hope that wish does come true!

And finally, what is the most exciting/daredevil thing you’ve ever done?

LMAO as a kid I used to dig in mud holes and pick out snakes and frogs.  Now…not so much, unless you count every time I push the submit button and wait for the acceptance or rejection emails. 🙂

OMG!  Snakes?!  Frogs?  That is beyond exciting and daredevil!  But then, hitting “Send” takes huge amounts of courage.  I do agree with that, Nikki!

Thank you Jenna for having me at your beautiful blog, I so appreciate it.  Thank you to all who have stopped by!  If you comment and leave an email, I will be giving out some magnets.

You are so welcome, Nikki!  Everyone be sure to check out Demon Mine‘s blurb and excerpt and then comment to win!

Blurb for Demon Mine:

Samael is a fallen angel doomed to repeat his life and love for Liliana Jackson over and over again. That is until she finally remembers who she is and the reason for the curse that has befallen them both. For you see, Liliana was once Lilith the first wife of Adam and the lover of Samael. Are they doomed to keep repeating the past? Or will there be a new future for the reincarnated lovers?

Excerpt for Demon Mine: (ADULT EXCERPT)

Liliana Jackson sat on the bed in the darkened room. Her breath was ragged as she eagerly waited for her lover to arrive. The need she felt was always instant when she thought of him. The slightest movement of cloth from her sundress scraping over her hard nipples tortured her as her bare pussy dampened. She glanced at the small clock on the wall opposite her bed. It would be only a matter of minutes before he stepped across the threshold.

She tried to be patient and wait. She let out a whimper, trying her best to wait for him, but failing. Slowly, she slipped her dress up her thighs, baring her shaved pussy to the air in the room, parting her legs while she leaned back onto the pillows; her fingers teased along her slit in one smooth stroke. She slid two fingers around her wet entrance, and then leisurely teased her clit. Liliana inched one, then two fingers inside of her drenched folds with a moan. She rocked her hips to push them in deeper as her head fell back against the pillow.

She groaned once more as she neared orgasm. One without him. He’d want to punish her, and she’d welcome it. She loved it when he acted all badass around her. In fact, she wanted it. Even as independent as she had always been, she needed his commanding presence, lust and strength. It fueled all of those things within her as well. His needs fed her needs. Her eyes moved to the door. She grinned. There he stood, leaning against the door jamb, arms crossed over his muscled chest. He looked angry—the edges of his mouth turned down and narrowed eyes fixed on her undulating body.

“Hello, lover.” Her words were a raspy purr of arousal.

Samael, her lover and the object of her lusts, filled the doorway with his presence. Samael, with his lithe, muscular body, tattoos on his arms, long, dark hair that fell past his shoulders, and when angry, eyes so dark they were fathomless against his paler skin. He was her dark demon, the possessor of her very being, her soul. He continued to stand there, arms crossed over his chest. Samael’s dark eyes turned hazel as they slowly traveled her body to focus on her fingers, which continued to thrust in and out of her pussy. The change in eye color was a sure sign of his rising lust, a hue she was well acquainted with and wanted … no, craved to see.

“I ordered you to wait, Lili.” She heard the impatience in his voice.

Biting back a small moan, she arched her back up off the bed, her eyes still connected with his as her fingers curled to stroke her g-spot.

“You order me to do a lot of things, Sami. I don’t always listen.”

He gave a low warning snarl. A groan from her was the response he received. He hated when she shortened his name from Samael to Sami. Her eyes moved down his body with leisure, exploring every nuance that made up the fabulous male standing before her. The black t-shirt fit his muscled form well, along with the black jeans that did little to hide his huge hard-on.

“You protest, yet your cock is enjoying the attention I’m giving myself. Seeing as you were late, I thought it would be okay to start without you. Honestly, do you think I would rather have your cock or my fingers?” All the while, her fingers continued to plunge into her tight core, her legs bent on the bed as she arched her back. She splayed her legs out before him so that he saw every thrust.

“Lili, you’re just begging to be spanked.” She shivered and ran her tongue over her bottom lip. His words sparked more need than fear. His approach was leisurely as he watched her continue to pleasure herself. She moved her free hand between her spread thighs and tugged at her clit. “Stop your fingers now. Remove them or you’ll not get what you want from me.”

With measured deliberation, Liliana pulled her fingers from her pussy. Keeping her eyes on Samael, she slowly, teasingly licked them clean. His eyes narrowed, and Liliana smirked. “You didn’t say I couldn’t taste.”

“Remove the fucking dress, Lili. Do it quickly, or you will not get a chance to come as you need to. Then get your pretty little ass on your knees and hold on to the headboard.” His words quickly wiped the smirk off her face. She didn’t say anything as she got to her knees and slipped the sundress off, tossing it to the floor. With one last look of feigned defiance, she turned to settle on her knees with her hands clutched to the headboard. The rustling of his clothing filled the otherwise silent room, and then they were skin to skin. His cock, hard and throbbing, pushed against the crease of her ass as his body pressed close to hers from behind.

Her breath caught in anticipation of his touching her as she craved. She did not say a word. If Liliana tested him, he would follow through on not letting her come. That could not happen; she wanted him bad. A soft mewl slipped from her lips as the head of his cock stroked along her dripping entrance. Her hands tightened on the headboard when he pressed into her. His lips were only an inch from her ear as he spoke with what could only be devilish delight.

The ball’s back in Ashley’s court.  Think she’s gonna play?  Is this an offer she can’t refuse?

WARNING: A blade-wielding heroine who crosses swords with a master of sensuality.

Excerpt for Only Scandal Will Do:

The slave was dressed in an almost transparent white gown, in flowing Grecian style, its folds torn in places and streaked with dirt. A daringly low bodice displayed full, enticing breasts, with a hint of dark nipples showing through the gauzy fabric. When she’d been flung to the floor, the straight tunic had revealed generous curves at her hips and buttocks.

Duncan’s labored breathing sounded harsh in his ears, drowning out the rest of the clamoring patrons. When he tried to swallow, he found his mouth so dry he had to peel his tongue from the roof.

The scenario itself did not appeal to him, but that girl…that girl with the incredible hair. The mass flowed shiny clean, obviously well tended; it would fall well below her waist. But the most enticing attribute by far was its fiery, bright auburn color. The long tresses, like molten flame, spilled down the slave girl’s back and around her breasts. Temptation incarnate.

Duncan’s arousal turned rock hard beneath his breeches, a reaction so immediate and insistent, he bent forward slightly to help stifle the hiss of his indrawn breath. He closed his eyes and willed his flesh to obey before his eagerness became embarrassing. By the time he was under control again, the auctioneer was calling for last bids on the girl. If he was going to make an offer on her–as his body well nigh demanded–he had better do it now.

“I’m offered six hundred pounds for this worthless Christian slave,” the auctioneer intoned, from in front of the stage. “The man who masters her will have his work cut out for him. She’s a feisty one, she is. Who’s up to the challenge?” he goaded the crowd.

Indeed, the girl looked less and less like a slave. She sat stock still in an attitude of defiance at the senator who drew the whip back for a blow. The man flicked the lashes forward, though without any force. Amorina would not want her girls marked. But the little imp on the floor grabbed the leather straps as they fell, twisted them around her hand and pulled sharply downward. The senator, caught off guard, tumbled onto the stage. The girl jumped to her feet, trying to free the whip from beneath the body of her fallen master. As she tugged, her hair rippled around her in the lamplight, a sensual river of burnished copper swirling like a bright mantle.

“Aren’t you even going to bid?” Tommy taunted him.

“One thousand pounds!” Duncan surprised himself–he hadn’t realized he’d spoken aloud.

“Sold!” The auctioneer beamed at the crowed. “Sold to the man in the black domino.”

And there’s more where that came from. 🙂  Just click here!

Romancing the Middle Ages ~ Guest Author Dana D’Angelo

Today I’m welcoming fellow historical romance author, Dana D’Angelo, who’s going to be talking about Romancing the Middle Ages.

Something about historical romances is just so…magical.

I love the Regency period. That time was leisurely and fun. But the era that I’m most drawn to is the Middle Ages. Here, danger lurks at every corner. And the dashing, sexy knight in shining armor comes charging across the plains to rescue a strong-willed damsel in distress.

For me, it’s not the political intrigue that interests me but the love and lives of extraordinary people. In my new book One True Knight I try to capture the essence of this period. I’ve always imagined that life during this time was exciting, colorful, full of action and, let’s not forget the most important thing of all – romance. The knights back then adhered to a strict code of chivalry and courtly love. They would single out women and worship them from afar, writing long romantic poems and vowing to do brave acts in the name of love.

While doing research for my book, I came across a picture of a shield depicting a knight kneeling before his lady. On the shield was written: You or Death.

Now what warm-blooded woman can resist that kind of devotion?

Please comment below and tell me what time period that you’re drawn to. I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

One True Knight ~ Historical Romance by Dana D’Angelo

Blurb:

When the beautiful yet feisty Rowena de Belleville discovers her father’s plan to remarry, she fears the worst and flees her home — only to be thrust into the arms of a stranger.

Desperate to hide her identity from her pursuers, she embraces the dark stranger. But her reckless act backfires as it awakens a passion buried deep within her soul, while igniting the fuse of her mysterious benefactor.

Unable to escape destiny, their paths cross yet again. This time she learns the handsome man is Jonathan d’Abelard – the Iron Hawk, a legendary knight feared by all save one faceless killer bent on making his life a living hell…

Will her chance encounter draw them together, or ensnare her in a dangerous game of seduction, feverish desire and vengeance?

Excerpt:

“What is it?” she asked, searching his face. Her eyes settled on the long scar that ran down the length of his face. It made him look fierce, although the expression on his rugged face had turned gentle, a smile playing on his lips.

Rowena didn’t think that he was handsome at first but now up close, she had to admit that he had a rather pleasant face. She shifted uncomfortably on her feet, and became conscious of the strength and power that exuded from his body. And she was all too aware of him as the virile male that kissed her once in town and many more times in her dreams.

He stood close to her now and with one hand, he reached out to caress her soft skin. “I often lie awake at night thinking about our encounter in town,” he confessed.

She startled at his touch. “Sir Jonathan,” she managed in what she hoped was a brisk tone. She took a step back. “We are no longer in town. That game is finished. I told you that I do not wish to speak of that encounter ever again.”

“I know there’s something warm and yielding inside,” he continued as if he didn’t hear her. He traced a long finger along her jaw, leaving a burning trail of erotic heat in its wake. “I want to experience it again,” he said softly, undeterred by her icy tone.

“’Tis a mistake for us to be alone,” she said, although she remained as still as if the slippers she wore somehow had sprouted roots and became embedded into the ground.

He took her chin between his thumb and forefinger, stroking, caressing her silken skin until it tingled with awareness.

She felt her mouth go dry and she touched her tongue to her lips to moisten them.

“The only way to know for sure that I didn’t dream everything up is to taste your sweetness again,” he said, staring at her lips. “Will you indulge me?”

Bio:

Dana is the only girl from a family of nine children. As a teenager, there was a constant battle for the T.V. remote, which she lost, so she was forced to find her amusement in books. A friend got her into romances, and soon she read as many as ten romance novels per week, spending hours with her nose pressed between the pages, skipping meals and cutting out sleep. Life, it seems, wasn’t as exciting or interesting as in the Medieval or Regency eras.

It wasn’t until she was married with two young kids that she decided to take a stab at writing her own historical romance novels.

She is intrigued with the idea of writing romantic stories that could bring hours of enjoyment to readers, help them escape from reality, and perhaps remind them how sweet love is and should be. These are the things that she enjoys as a reader, and these are the things that she wants to give back as a writer.

Dana lives in a city east of Toronto, Canada. When she’s not writing or reading, she’s dining at local restaurants with her husband and kids and enjoying spectacular foods of the world.

Six Sentence Sunday–09/23/12 7 Days of Seduction: Day 6

Happy Sunday! For my Six Sentence Sunday post I’m back to  7 Days of Seduction, an erotic novella I hope will be ready for publication soon!

This snippet takes place on Day 6–yet another colorful adventure.  Hunter’s just announced he wants a menage with her and one other person.  And Ashley’s a bit more freaked than normal.

Copyright (c) 123RF Stock Photos

Did he want her to make it with another woman? Did he want to do it with another guy? Her heart thumped irregularly at the thought. She doubted she’d be able to watch him and another guy. Hell, she wanted to see him with another woman even less. And if he wanted to watch her do another girl, she’d put on her clothes and walk right out of the house, despite the fact she lived here.

Despite her association with Hunter, Ash seems to have a few inhibitions, do you think?  Can he seduce her into yet another adventure?

Thanks so much for visiting me today.  Now pop over to the Six Sentence Sunday list and check out the rest of the snippets.  They’re fantastic!

Only Scandal Will Do–In Print!

I’ve been sitting on this news for several days, but now that the contract is signed, I am so very happy to announce that Lyrical Press will be bringing out a print version of my historical romance novel Only Scandal Will Do!

It has a new print edition cover–an extension of the beautiful one done for the e-book edition.

Even more flattering news, Lyrical is opening several new lines at their house, one of which is called Vintage.  The description is “Modern take on retro-style period romance,” with models listed as Johanna Lindsey, Kathleen Woodiwiss, Julie Garwood, and Rosemary Rodgers.

And Only Scandal Will Do will be the first book brought out in print and e-book under the Vintage logo.  There’s a V on the back cover and a cream-colored ribbon at the top of the front cover of the e-book edition.

I’m so excited at this news I can’t stop smiling!

The print edition will release on December 1, 2012, just in time for Christmas! (I guess you know what I’m giving to friends and relatives this year! LOL)

Thank you for letting me take this time to share such exciting news with my friends and readers.  Without you, this would never have happened.  Scandal’s continued success is in part due to your help in promoting it for me.  Thank you for each Facebook mention and ReTweet and all the Amazon likes and tags, reviews, and all the comments on all the blog tour stops!  I’m so grateful to have you all behind me.  In a blog post last year, I talked about how it takes a village to write a book, well, my village still has my back!  And you guys ROCK!

Have a great weekend!
