Welcome back to Jenna’s Snippet Sundays. In lieu of a blog hop, there’s just me with snippets from my current release or hopefully my next WIP.
So sorry to have missed last week’s snippet, but my family was mourning the loss of our little gray bunny, Earl Grey, who passed away last Sunday morning. I hope to post a memorial to him later this week, so readers will know what happened. He was truly a very good, very sweet bunny.
However, today I’m continuing with another snippet from my most recent release, As Long As You’re Mine. This snippet begins where last week’s left off. (If you need to catch up, last post is here.)

BLURB:
A scandalous mistake…or a wicked way to happiness?
Hoping to compromise herself, Lady Amantha Easton sneaks into the bedroom of her would-be suitor only to find a total stranger there—a totally handsome, charming stranger to be sure—but not at all the man she plans to marry. She leaves his room with her reputation intact—barely—only to fall victim to the gentleman’s charms in a public place. Now Amantha must face the fate she’s tried to avoid—marriage to a man who will never love her.
All Rafael Beauregard wanted was a warm bed and a good night’s sleep…but what he got was an unexpected romp with a beautiful vixen and a fiery kiss that left him wanting more. An excellent trade, except now he’s got to marry Lady Amantha, one of the most willful women he’s ever met. So Rafe’s challenge is to persuade her that marriage to him might be the best thing for them both…once he convinces himself.
EXCERPT:
“You mean the conversation where you thought I was Jenny?” Amantha pushed against him, trying to keep him at arm’s length, but she might have been trying to shove against a boulder. Mr. Beauregard had strength such as she’d not known in a man before.
“No. The one where we didn’t use words at all.” His smile widened, and he slowly lowered his head toward her until his mouth hung directly above hers. “Like this.” He sank his lips onto hers.
The floor beneath Amantha’s feet seemed to drop away. She clung to him, afraid she’d fall as the room suddenly spun around her. That merely pressing his lips to hers could create such a firestorm within her both delighted and frightened her. Yet she could not deny him. And slowly, she slid her arms around his neck, reveling in the heat that consumed her from head to toe. All this could have been hers forever if she’d let her father find her in Mr. Beauregard’s bed. Even now, she could stay here with him tonight. No one would know…
If you don’t want to wait for next week’s continuation, you can grab As Long As You’re Mine on Amazon or in KU.
And fellow author from Weekend Writing Warriors, Carrie Anne Brownian, has put up a snippet from one of her works here. You should go check her out as well, especially if you enjoy historical fiction.
