Today I’m continuing with another snippet from my most recent release, As Long As You’re Mine. This snippet begins where last week’s left off. (If you need to catch up, last post is here.)

Abruptly, she let go of Mr. Beauregard’s neck and pushed away from him. She absolutely could not entertain those kinds of thoughts. Not with this man. She must have surprised him, for he let her go and stood there smiling at her, that deep hunger almost leaping at her from his eyes. “Does that mean you want to stay, Amantha?”

Whirling around, she dove for the door, pulled it open, and fled into the corridor, uncaring who might see her leave Mr. Beauregard’s room. Because if she had stayed one more minute, she might well have answered, “Yes.”
