Only Scandal Will Do–Official Excerpts!

In the midst of trying to finish up edits and then being out of town–and then recovering from being out of town–I forgot to post the official excerpts for my forthcoming historical romance Only Scandal Will Do!

Here’s the short excerpt, used by the publisher:

Katarina clutched the chair’s golden upholstery to keep from launching herself at him and wrapping her fingers around his arrogant throat. “I am Lady Katarina Fitzwilliam, sister to the Earl of Manning. I was kidnapped and brought here tonight against my will.”

He cocked his head. Then his mouth twitched. “Truly? What an exciting life you must lead…Lady Katarina, was it?” He chuckled deep in his chest, and took a step toward the chair.

She glared at him. “I am Lady Katarina Fitzwilliam, you dullard.”

“And true ladies always run around London at night scandalously underdressed as Greek slaves?”

“My brother and I were on our way to a masquerade ball when I was abducted.”

“As was I, fair lady,” he bowed with an exaggerated flourish, “when I decided to come to this charming establishment instead. Perhaps if we had continued on our ways uninterrupted, we would even now be dancing together at the ball.” That nasty laugh grated against her nerves worse than the screech of rusty nails, making her contemplate murder. If the scoundrel didn’t believe her story, killing him might be her only means of escape.

And here the official one I’ll be posting permanently on my blog:

“Lady Katarina,” the marquess said, taking her limp, cold hand. “I have been looking forward to this moment ever since I heard you were in London.”

That voice sent shivers down her spine. She remembered well the arrogance in it when he’d declared himself her master. Soft and silky now, his mouth poised over her hand, and the words sent searing heat that penetrated her long kidskin gloves. Only sheer determination kept her from snatching it out of his grasp, and fear at what might be said if she acted in any way as though she had met this man before. No one must know.

She made herself look at his face, into the dark brown eyes that gleamed with…apprehension? Amusement? Katarina twitched her mouth into what hopefully passed for a smile and said, “I am delighted to make your acquaintance as well, Lord Dalbury. Although I must confess that until just now I had not heard your name.” Although pleased to hear how strong her voice sounded, she feared she might choke on the lies she spouted. Kat slipped her hand from his and a measure of calm returned.

Jack was deep in his conversation with Lord Braeton, completely unconcerned about her. She tried to refrain from looking at the marquess, but he demanded her attention by addressing her again.

“I almost missed the pleasure of making your acquaintance, Lady Katarina. I left the ball just before midnight, but one of my carriage horses came up lame and I returned to ask Braeton for the loan of a replacement. Lady Luck surely smiled on me tonight.” His wide smile seemed genuine, his voice tinged with a hint of relief.

She sighed. Her last night in England and Lady Luck had to favor this fellow.

He continued on, disregarding her silence. “I understand from Lord Braeton that you and your brother only arrived from the colonies three months ago, Lady Katarina.”

She found it hard to keep her tone civil. “Yes, my lord. We came to England in early February.” As she had told him before! It helped not to look at his eyes. Instead she fastened her gaze on his cheek. He would likely carry those scars the rest of his life. She hoped it hurt his vanity every time he looked in the mirror.

He apparently saw where her gaze lay, for he ran his finger down the center mark. “Ah, I see you are curious about my wounds.” He shifted his weight slightly, drawing her a little away from the others.

“Is it a war wound, my lord?” she asked, feeling the return of her confidence.

“It is a badge of honor I wear, given to me by a worthy opponent who I underestimated in many ways. I now regret the chance encounter, Lady Katarina.” He lowered his voice. “She did not deserve the treatment she had at my hands. I make my most sincere apology for doubting her words to me.”

Kat stiffened at this offering. How could he stand there and try to apologize so cavalierly in a crowded ballroom? “Whoever she is, then, Lord Dalbury,” she said sweetly, “I hope your opponent is more forgiving than I would be.”

And here’s some not quite official news:  It is not confirmed, but I’ve got my fingers crossed–according to Lyrical’s website, Only Scandal Will Do is set to release

July 23, 2012!

I’m getting excited again, and I have a kind of different idea for a contest to be announced on the day it does release.  So stay tuned for that announcement–the prize is a bit different from most I’ve seen. 🙂

Playing Favorites

I know we’re not supposed to play favorites, but sometimes I just can’t help myself.  🙂 So I have to confess, I have a favorite hero that I’ve written.  He is Sir Geoffrey Longford, hero of my medieval trilogy, Time Enough to Love.

Sir Geoffrey is a knight at the court of King Edward III of England in the year of Our Lord 1348.  He has fought for the king for 10 years, since the age of 18, and is an excellent warrior.  He’s recently been betrothed to a girl he’s never met, but whom he intends to woo because he likes her and wants her to like him in return before they marry.

I love Geoffrey because he’s the perfect hero–a strong, skilled, loyal warrior with a soft, passionate side.  He wants his marriage to be more than just an arrangement–especially after he meets Alyce.   And he’s willing to change in order to make this happen.

I’ve been thinking about Geoffrey a lot recently because I’ve been revising the first book, Betrothal, and he looms large in the book, in several ways.  I think of him as a “gentle giant,” and his description in chapter one will give you an idea of the “giant” part:

Alyse (the heroine) sees him across the Great Hall:

Though she could not judge the stranger’s features, his sheer size was appalling.  Beside Thomas Knowlton, who was not a small man, this newcomer seemed massive, dangerous.

And moments later, when he stands before the king, only a few feet from her:

The broadest shoulders she had ever seen tapered to an impossibly narrow waist and hips; she was amazed they could support such a torso.

As Sir Geoffrey knelt before the king, suddenly dark chestnut hair, cropped close to his head, came into view.  It framed a face ruggedly handsome with surprisingly intelligent eyes, long aquiline nose, and a strong, square jaw.  His mouth was generous, as she had seen across the room, with firm red lips now curled upward in an easy smile.  Attired in a rich, dark blue damask coathardie, Geoffrey Longford might have been any woman’s ideal.

The “gentle” part becomes apparent throughout Betrothal, though he is given to jealous fits at times.  To me, he is the perfect Knight In Shining Armor (literally).

Now, why don’t you tell me about your favorite hero?  Decide which of your heroes  you’d like to introduce everyone to, and choose a snippet about this character (preferably no more than 200 words) to share about him. (A snippet from your manuscript would be awesome, but if you’re not comfortable with that, you can choose to do a character sketch–something to show us your character and writing.)  And if you’re not an author or just can’t decide, tell me about a favorite hero you’ve read.  Can’t wait to see you playing favorites!

7 Days of Seduction–Horny Hump Day 6/13/12 Day 5: Ice, Ice, Baby

WARNING:  MATERIAL NOT SUITABLE FOR THOSE UNDER THE AGE OF 18!

NOT SAFE FOR WORK!

Participating authors in Horny Hump Day post three sentences from their published works or WIP, hot enough to sizzle on the sidewalk! LOL

Today’s Horny Hump Day continues with Day 5 of 7 Days of Seduction (which I finished and sent to the publisher yesterday!).  Hunter and Ashley are in her bedroom–novel, I know for them.  And this adventure is a bit more colorful as well.  Hunter has brought her a bagful of playthings, though not the usual ones.  He’s running hot and cold with some BDSM play.  Here’s the cold part.

He reached into the bowl beside him and produced another ice cube.  Leaning over her, he stroked it underneath her breast, then up and around the aureola.  The cube changed hands; now her left nipple was given an ice bath while the right was sucked into his hot mouth and tormented with tongue and teeth.

Who knew cold could be so hot?

Please check out the Horny Hump Day blog site for the other sites on the hop and go visit the other hot authors.   The site also gives the details of how to sign up for next week if you’d like to play with us. 🙂

What I’m Reading Now–Nineteen Hundred by Susan Koenig

The right love, the wrong time.

I’ve decided with my hectic schedule, the best way to get any reading in for a while is to read short fiction until deadlines ease up a bit and I can spend more time with Kindle in hand.  To that effect, this weekend I picked up Susan Koenig’s short story, Nineteen Hundred.

I love historicals and this one is no exception.  The characters are fresh–Gideon is quite a charmer, a true gentleman with a secret he aches to reveal, but cannot.  Katheryn, though a little meek (as befits her time),  has passion and goodness that catches Gideon’s eye.  They immediately strike up an acquaintance, leaving the reader no doubt they are made for each other.  Ms. Koenig’s characterizations are drawn with only a few strokes, yet they reveal much of her characters’ inner workings. Even the minor characters, such as the boarding-house proprietor Mrs Hodgson, are deftly penned and memorable.

Nineteen Hundred is also well plotted.  As the hero and heroine inch their way toward intimacy, they are constantly beset by problems that stem from Gideon’s secret.  It is heart-wrenching as we pull for their differences to iron themselves out, because in a very few pages we come to care deeply for these two people.

I promise the ending will surprise you, but as Nineteen Hundred is part of a larger work (though it stands alone perfectly well), we will have to wait for the rest of the story to see how it all plays out in the end.

I thoroughly enjoyed this look at life in Nineteen Hundred.  If you’d like to take a look at it too, it can be found at Amazon and Smashwords.

Welcome back to Six Sentence Sunday!

Thanks once again to everyone for your great support each week.  I do appreciate your comments, so keep them coming.  I also look forward to visiting your sites and reading your wonderful snippets.

Today I’m offering another snippet from the latest revision of my  WIP Seven Days of Seduction, an erotic novella about Ashley and the man she runs into–in her shower.  We’re going forward to Day 4 of Seduction–fun and games at the office!  Ash and Hunter are enjoying a little tete-a-tete before lunch that gets interrupted.  Enjoy!

A satisfied chuckle sounded loudly in the room filled only with the slap of his balls on her butt and the creak of the desk.  His thumb pressed inward on his next stroke, which he slowed so digit and dick kept pace.  The slide outward, just as slow, pushed her to the brink.  One more would topple her headlong into an orgasm she’d feel for days to come.

The doorknob rattled.

Ashley’s stomach dropped, and her breath hung suspended mid-inhale.

Be sure to come back next week for a new six sentence offering on SSS.

Sweet Saturday Sample–6/09/12 Time Enough To Love: Betrothal

Welcome back to Sweet Saturday Sample!  All excerpts here are rated PG-13 or milder. Here’s another post from my new WIP, my medieval trilogy Time Enough To Love.  Part 1 is called Betrothal.  The series is set in England and France in 1348.  Betrothal takes place at the court of King Edward III.  I’ve almost completed the first revision!

Lady Alyse de Courcy is a waiting gentlewoman to Princess Joanna, youngest daughter of King Edward.  As the book opens, Alyse is anxiously awaiting word of her betrothal.  She would prefer to marry Lord Brayton, a knight and courtier to the king, who has taken her fancy.  Alyse is watching Lord Brayton while a new courtier is presented to the court.  Now Alyse has been called before the king. (Disclaimer:  This work is not yet edited, so please forgive any flaws.)

“I beg pardon, Sire.”  Alyse shot up off her seat, afraid she had kept the king

waiting. She hurried from behind the table to stand before the king.  “ What do you require of me, Majesty?”  With a sigh of relief, she dropped gratefully into a deep curtsy, face hidden in the folds of her skirt.  She disliked being a spectacle at the court and wished she could remain bowed thus before his majesty for the remainder of the evening.

King Edward laughed. “Obedience, Lady Alyse, as I require of all my subjects.  As your father requires of his daughter.”

Her heart thumped wildly in her breast.  That could only mean one thing.

“Rise, my lady.”

She did so on unsteady feet.  “I am ready, as always, Your Majesty, to obey my father as I would you.” Holy Mary, let it be Thomas Knowlton.

King Edward lifted an eyebrow toward Alyse.  “A very pretty answer, my lady.  And are you ready to accept your father’s decree for your betrothal?  His messenger has today reached me with the contract, as I am to stand in his stead in this matter.”

Alyse took a deep breath and hoped her voice did not tremble.  “Yea, Majesty, I will obey my father and accept his choice.”

King Edward nodded.  “What say you then, Sir Geoffrey?  Does the lady not speak fair?  I vow she will make you a proper wife, and a dutiful one as well.”

Alyse turned, until that moment unaware that Geoffrey Longford stood beside her before the king.  Chills coursed down her body as the king’s words echoed in her mind.  The sensation of falling backward assailed her, as though she rushed away from the tall man at her side even as his figure loomed larger and larger in her sight.

Not Thomas Knowlton.  Her numbed brain repeated the phrase, trying to comprehend that instead he was to be her husband.  Geoffrey Longford.  God have mercy on me, for by the look of him, this man will not.  Fearful, her gaze climbed higher, over his chest, over his chin, finally resting on the dark blue eyes turned toward her.

Geoffrey returned her appraisal, his eyes sweeping her figure as a smile crept over his face.  “Your Majesty.” He spoke to the king but his attention remained fixed on Alyse.  “I also give my obedience to you, and to my father, doing your bidding in all things.  My father told me of the betrothal contract before I left his home and I was then resolved to play the dutiful son.  I find, however, I do not wish to act that role after all.”  His eyes held hers as he paused.

Dear God, does he mean to renounce me here before the entire court?  Alyse stared at the man beside her, willing herself to remain erect, despite the chills and heat that alternated through her body.

“Now I find I would rather play the ardent lover.”  An amused murmur ran throughout the hall at his words.   Geoffrey grinned, his eyes now sparkling with humor and something more.   Despite the uneven light, Alyse saw an unfathomable promise in their dark depths.  She took a deep breath and looked away.

I hope you enjoyed this sample of  Time Enough to Love.  Stop by SSS tomorrow for six sentences from 7 Days of Seduction.  And today be sure to click here to visit more Sweet Samples.

The Eyes Have It

As a personal preference, I, as a woman, have always loved blue eyes.  Deep dark blue to bright crystal blue, I could gaze into those fascinating orbs in a man’s face all day.  Followed at a close second with green/hazel eyes (especially when accompanied by rich, auburn hair–heavenly!).  Brown eyes, however, I have never cared for–no offense to the majority of folks out there.

Yes, according to my research, brown eyes dominate our population, both male and female.  So much so, that an article I just read–while researching eye color for my last novel,–suggests that in the not too distant future everyone might have brown eyes due to genetics.

But for now, we have variety.  And I, as a romance writer, take full advantage of the range of colors available for me to make my heroes and heroines distinctive.  Though I have a fondness for blue eyes, so far I only have one hero with sapphire blue eyes, Geoffrey Longford in my current WIP.  Strangely, I have two heroes and a beta with brown eyes.  You wouldn’t think that, since it’s not my favorite, but that’s how the characters were revealed to me–my muse must like brown eyes, then. J  I do have one prospective hero who will have green eyes and blonde hair–and he’s going to be a handful!

My heroines are more varied–I’ve had crystal blue, warm brown, and steel-gray eyes for those ladies.  Perhaps in my mind eye color is an indicator of character.  I described another beta hero as having “moonlight blue” eyes, thinking pale and cool, because he is a cool customer.

I have had fun, trying to figure out different eye color descriptions–you can’t just say blue or brown all the time.  So I’ve actually resorted to optometrist’s charts of contact lens
colors.

Some of them sound really cool, others have given me ideas about what color a character’s eyes could be.  My favorite fanciful color is Caribbean Aqua (I had that color contacts at one point in my life!), although one chart had Romantic Violet.  This chart is where I got the idea for “moonlight blue” for my beta.  The color was perfect for him.

If you really want to get detailed oriented, you can figure out the probability of eye color within a family, if you’ve written your hero or heroine with a lot of siblings.  You can find the Athro Eye Color Generator here if you want to play around with the combinations it takes to have various siblings with different colored eyes. I did this with my green-eyed soon-to-be hero, because everyone else in the family had brown eyes and I wanted to make sure green eyes were a possibility for him. (They were.)  But did you know that two blue-eyed parents cannot produce a brown-eyed child?  I’m using that little piece of knowledge in one of my works also.  You wouldn’t think that eye-color genetics was such a goldmine for romance writers, would you?

So how do you come up with eye color for your characters?  Does your muse dictate?  Do they just spring forth, like Athena from Zeus’s head, eye and hair color already established?  Do you use color charts like me?  I’d love to know how you “catch their eye.”

Not Your Ordinary Love Story–Never Say Just by Katie Harper: Interview With Kat and Shooter

Welcome to Jenna’s Journal where today I’m interviewing the hero and heroine from Katie Harper’s soon-to-be released book from Decadent Press, Never Say Just.  Thank you so much, Katie, for bringing Kat and Shooter here today.  From your blurb and excerpt, this seems like it’s not an ordinary love story and I can’t wait to find out about these guys.

Let me start out with the basics.  Kat and Shooter, what was your first impression of your writer?

Kat: Harper and I have been friends for a while. I knew she’d write me well. Though sometimes I wish she didn’t tell the whole world exactly what is going through my head all the time. That bit about a chastity belt made from emotional baggage wrapped around my lady parts could have been left out.

Shooter: Harper’s good people. I’m glad she gave me an insight into the mind of Kat. It’s kept me from killing her a few times.

Kat: HEY!

Okay,  guys.  Kat, a question for you.  How did you get into your murder for hire occupation?  Why did you get out of the business?

Kat: I was recruited by a defense contractor when I was eighteen. I’d just lost my parents and I was alone. They gave me a family. When I went through the psychological testing they found that I had the moral flexibility to kill. I was really, really good at it. I quit when I found out I’d killed an innocent man.

That is so understandable.  Ummm, Shooter, what an appropriate name for you.  I noted in the excerpt that you say you kill people for a living.  Does that make for competition between you and Kat at all?  Do you consider yourselves sort of a Mr. & Mrs. Smith?

Shooter: HAHAHAHAHA!! No, we are not Mr. & Mrs. Smith. I am a sniper for the United States Marine Corps. Yes, I kill people, but not in the same way Kat killed people. The only competition between me and Kat is in the sparring ring.

Kat: And I’m up by two.

*Grins*  Sounds like some healthy competition there.  How did you two meet?

Kat: He thought he needed to save my life. It was cute really.

Shooter: Cute! If we hadn’t shown up when we did, you’d be rotting in some swamp somewhere.

Kat: No, I wouldn’t.

Shooter: Whatever.

Uh, Kat you have a daughter?  How old is she?  How has motherhood changed your life?

Kat: She just turned six. Sam gave purpose to my life. Before her I really didn’t have anything I could be proud of. She is my saving grace.

A lot of mothers feel that way.  Children are a wonderful thing to be proud of.

Now, Shooter, if you could be in any other profession, what would you do and why?

Shooter: The Rat Bastards would tell you I’d be a therapist. But if I could do anything, I’d be a professional fisherman.

Intriguing!  Another profession where you have to rely on either yourself or a select “band of brothers.”

I was wondering, Kat, what was your most difficult assignment?  Why?

Kat: That’s tough. There are different types of difficult. There’s difficult because the target is hard to get to. There’s difficult because you kind of agree with what they’re doing. There’s difficult because you’re stuck in the ass end of nowhere with nothing but a stack of MREs and high powered rifle for company. The mission I hated the most was when I had to play a hooker to kill a North Korean nuclear engineer. I had to act like I actually liked the guy. Nice is not one of my strong points.

Here’s one of those questions romance authors always ask.  Shooter, what is your idea of a romantic evening?

Shooter: Ha! I know you think I’m going to say something like cleaning our guns together, but I’m more traditional than that. I went to an OPEC fundraiser with Kat in Paris a few weeks ago. We had dinner at this café next to the river. It was your typical movie Paris evening. I thought it was perfect.

Kat: Lame.

Well, I don’t think that’s lame at all.  You seem quite the romantic at heart, Shooter. *Smiles at him*

So, Kat, a “romantic” question for you.  What first drew you to Shooter?  What qualities does he possess that are attractive to you?

Kat: From the first day I felt comfortable around Shooter. For the first time in years I felt like I could let down my guard. Of course I saw that as a huge vulnerability and fought it tooth and nail, but I eventually gave in. I feel safe with Shooter. I’ve never felt safe with anyone.

And finally, would you guys like for your writer to create a sequel for you?  Why or why not?

Shooter: Hell yes! I want the rest of the Rat Bastards to have to go through having their love lives splattered all over the world like I have. It’s been miserable. I can’t believe I said some of the stuff I did. And even though she doesn’t make me look like a total freaking Nancy, she doesn’t make me look like a tough nutted Force Recon Marine either. My story’s done. It’s their turn to suffer.

Kat: Ditto.

Somehow I don’t think either of you suffered quite that much at Katie’s hands.  Thank you both for coming here today.  And thank you, Katie, for letting me borrow them for a while.  They are quite a pair!  If you want to check out more of Kat and Shooter (and I suggest you do) below are a blurb and excerpt:

Blurb:

Haunted by her past of murder for hire and skinning people alive to gather vital intelligence, Kat Boudreaux wants nothing more than to hide away in her sprawling mansion with the love of her life–her daughter. But then Private Gump and his band of Bubbas land on her doorstep. Her brother and his unit of misfit Marines insert themselves with the misguided need to protect her from someone hell-bent on vengeance.
For Shooter, it’s love at first sight, though he wouldn’t be caught dead admitting it. When Kat is nearly fatally injured while saving his life, he knows he’s found the woman for him.  Together, they fight side by side to get to the bottom of the threats. Kat’s daughter is kidnapped and this ex-assassin mom reverts back to old habits to save her. Saving Kat and her daughter is easy, taming the shrew that is Hell Kat Boudreaux might meaning losing his favorite appendage.
Excerpt:
Shooter leaned over and whispered in my ear, “Bar?” Oh God yes. Yeah, this evening will be brought to you by Jack Daniels and Jim Beam. I ordered a shot of whatever was closest and downed it. Shooter handed me a mint julep while he sipped his scotch. Bless that man. I scanned the room for the enemy. I had honed this skill over several missions for GSA. It’s amazing how quickly things come back to you when you were threatened.
My gaze fell on the first threat, Louise LaLourie.  Why her parents had named her Louise with a last name like LaLourie was completely beyond me. Of course she had sported several other last names over the years but she always returned to LaLourie. At one time she desperately wanted to be known as Louise Boudreaux. But, I was married to my husband at the time and he had shown her the no trespassing sign right away. Louise held a flute of champagne in her hand, her cunning eyes searched for the next Mr. LaLourie. Her sights fell on me and she stalked forward. I’m not kidding, she stalked, like a lioness, toward me. I looked over at Shooter. I needed to warn him that the most bedded woman in New Orleans was on the prowl. He was busy at the bar fighting for his constitutional right to get good and shit faced completely missing my look of caution. Since I knew Louise  watched me I smiled and prayed the words “die, bitch, die” were not tattooed on my forehead.
“Oh my gawd Are you finally out of mourning?” Her accent was so thick you could cut it with a K-Bar. “I understand grieving, but honey you can’t put yourself in cold storage for the rest of your life. But you are looking great. Look at you. I was afraid you’d locked yourself up in that big ole house and either ate or drank yourself to death. I am so relieved to see you looking as good as ever. Who are you wearing, darlin’? You look positively wonderful.”
Of course her compliments were about as real as her boobs, but I smiled back and said, “Versace.”
“Donatella?” Louise asked with pity in her voice.
“No, Gianni. It went up for auction at Sotheby’s a few years ago and I just had to have it. Though this is the first time I’ve worn it.”
Edna could look forward to a big, fat Christmas bonus this year. The envy on Louise’s face was priceless. It was worth coming to this damn ho down, and I mean ho down, just to see her face turn a lovely shade of green. She would have given a lot to own an original Gianni but she didn’t and I did. Take that you nasty bitch.
Shooter took that moment to turn around and hand me another cocktail. His eyes went big and he tried to take a step back but the bar was in the way. I hadn’t taken in what Louise wore until that moment. She wore a black, too tight to breathe, strapless Dolce and Gabbana that made her boobs spill over the tops. Truth be told I had that same dress in my closet at home. But I would never choose to accessorize it with a purple leopard bra that poked strategically above the neckline. Her lecherous eyes zeroed in on Shooter. She had the sniper in her sites and he was about to feel the full force of Louise’s slut-o-matic up close and personal.
“Well, hello. You must be Kat’s brother?”
“No, Louise,” I interrupted, “This is my date.” I choked on the last word.
Louise didn’t care. She wouldn’t care if a man was in bed with his wife on their wedding night, she believed all men were available. “And what is your name, gorgeous?”
“Shooter,” he smiled and leaned into her gaze a slight come and get me smile smeared across his face. I seriously wanted to pop his eyes out with a shrimp fork but I reigned in my rage.
“And what is it that you do, Mr. Shooter?” Translation: Can you afford me? She said as she pressed herself up against his body shamelessly exposing all her voluptuous assets.
He raised his hand and extended a finger. Shooter pushed the tip of his long thick finger into the center of Louise’s forehead forcing her to take several steps backward. His gaze had gone from playful to deadly. “I kill people,” his whisper was sinister.
And if you want to read even more of Never Say Just, you don’t have long to wait.  Katie Harper’s first novel releases on June 19th from Decadent Press.

Here are six from Day 3 of Seduction–an outdoor pool party for two!  Enjoy!

She lay back on the deck and looked into the deep purple of the evening sky, stars winking into existence as the sun set. Then Hunter’s face hove into sight.  “I wish we could do this in the water, but I remembered it’s not good for a woman.  A couple of my partners have had trouble in the past, so I won’t take that chance with you.  Thank God the rim is the right height here.”

He opened her thighs and she saw him dribble oil from a bottle onto his shaft as he asked, “How do you want me?”

Be sure to come back next week for a new six sentence offering on SSS.
