Since this work is on tour for the next few weeks, I’m going to give you three sentences from my erotic novella, 7 Days of Seduction. Day 1, not long after Ashley watches the sex video of her, Sam, and the gorgeous stranger. She and Sam are so turned on they need a little “together” time. 🙂
His cock felt so good in her aching pussy she started to come almost immediately. “Sam, I’m almost there, babe.”
“God, me too, Ash,” he moaned as he gripped her hips and redoubled his thrusts.

To ring in the New Year with something new–well, sort of new–for Six Sentence Sunday this week, I’m putting up six from my latest novella, 7 Days of Seduction. The story’s been out since October–my how time flies–and I’ve just started a blog tour for it. First stop is an interview with me at Sizzling Hot Books, so if you want to hear a little something naughty about me and my book, go take a peek! Then come back for Six Sentences of Seduction here.
These six are from Day 1, the very beginning of the novella:
A fast, staccato beat pounded inside Ashley Thompson’s head, not unlike the new Nikki Menaj song playing on the radio. She breathed slowly, trying not to throw up. The worst part of Friday night was throwing up Saturday morning.
The mattress shifted as someone rolled over, and a leg landed on her.
Oh, crap, revise that previous thought. The possibility of waking up with a stranger trumped throwing up anytime.
Thanks so much for visiting me today. 7 Days of Seduction is available now at Amazon,New Dawning Bookfair, and ARe. If you wanted a copy, now’s your chance! Ring in the New Year with 7 Days of very colorful adventure. 🙂
Now pop over to the Six Sentence Sunday list and check out the rest of the snippets. See you there!
Hello, everyone! Thought I’d catch you up with what’s been going on with me. I’ve been sort of blog silent except for my regular memes (HHD and SSS) and the current blog hops and some guest blogs. But I haven’t been putting up any of my own posts. Sorry about that.
Truth is, up until the last few days I’ve been working non-stop on edits on two historical novels. I just sent the second one, As Long As You’re Mine, off to its editor this morning! Hooray! The first one, Only Marriage Will Do, is with beta readers. Also hooray!
Today, I’m starting on the last of my projects–revisions to my medieval historical Time Enough To Love, Book 1: Betrothal. I’m going to push to get it done by late Sunday, as my school starts back up on Monday. Wish me luck! I’m hoping to self-publish Betrothal by late January.
After I finish that one, I’m on to working on the other two books: Book 2: Betrayal and Book 3: Beleaguered. They’re written but need a good bit of revision. Once each one is completed, it will be released, approximately six weeks after the last one. Really wish me luck on that one!
Today also marks the beginning of my latest blog tour for my most recent release, 7 Days of Seduction. My first stop is an interview at Sizzling Hot Books. I hope I’ve answered the questions in such a way that you get an idea of me and of my sizzling little book. 🙂 The rest of the tour–interviews, guest blogs, and a spotlight–can be found on the BLOG TOUR page above. If you want to join me on the tour, you’ll get a little reward. I’m giving away copies of 7 Days of Seduction and Seduction Swag Packs at each stop. The swag packs include a couple of “naughty” items inspired by the book.
I also have very exciting news! Only Scandal Will Do was nominated as Best Historical Romance in the Sizzling Hot PR Awards! Squeeeeeeee! I’ve never been nominated for an award for writing before, so this was a totally fantastic discovery. I’d like to ask you all to vote for me and Scandal in the Historical Category, and while you’re voting, check out the other nominees in the various categories and vote for the ones you’ve read. I’d sure appreciate it. 🙂
Other than my blog tour and my regular posts, I’m going to try to publish one post each week that is writing or reading oriented. I’ve got several topics I’d love to explore, several experiences to share, and some questions I’d love to get opinions on. So that’s my New Year’s Resolution–at least one meaty blog post per week.
Except for those, I may be rather quiet. I’m trying to fulfill another resolution: publish at least eight novels or novellas in 2013. Crazy? Maybe. Three are in revision right now. Two more are written, just awaiting revision. And I’ve got two more with outlines written and one with a mental outline almost complete.
So if the blog is quiet, you’ll know my fingers are flying! Do you have any New Year’s resolutions for 2013?

Today I’ve got three sentences from my another WIP, As Long As You’re Mine. I’m working on revisions before sending it back out to agents. Here’s a little of what I was working on today. Hope you enjoy!
Willing himself to go slowly, he inched one hand down between her spread legs, finding her slit drenched in moisture. He took a breath, opened his mouth wide and gently raked his teeth along the smooth cheek before him as he slid his fingers along the soft folds of her lower lips. Low panting became a deep guttural moan as he slipped two fingers inside the welcoming warmth.

Then you’ve come to the right place. I’m talking about my “naughty” New Year’s resolution–to write more “naughty” books in 2013!
This year I only released one erotic romance, 7 Days of Seduction. It was a sexy, naughty read, but I can do better than just one in a whole year! So my New Year’s resolution is to write at least four naughty novellas in the coming year.
The publisher of 7 Days has already requested a sequel–7 More Days. I’ve got my thinking cap on, figuring out what Hunter and Ashley can do next! Maybe a film shoot for Ashley’s ex-boyfriend, Sam? We’ll see. 🙂
Then I’ve got another idea for a 1Night Stand story–concerning an older romance writer who needs some inspiration for her novels. Madame Eve’s solution? An out of work actor who’s 17 years younger than her. The spark of creativity gets a work-out with these two.
A third book is a sequel to my first erotic work, Hog Wild. In this book, Jesse takes Lula to a Harley rally where they meet up with some rather unsavory characters–including a former boyfriend of Lula’s and the guy whose bike she stole. Jesse’s got his work cut out for him, keeping his woman safe and satisfied.
Book four I’m not sure of yet–could be another in the Hog Wild series, could be a Christmas tale, or something I haven’t dreamed up yet. But I’m definitely going to be on the Naughty list by next Christmas.
Leave me a comment telling me what your favorite “naughty” read was in 2012, leave YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS, and you’ll be entered to win an e-copy of 7 Days of Seduction and the Grand Prizes:

Blurb for 7 Days of Seduction: Ashley Thompson had a wild time at her party last Friday night. Maybe too wild. She wakes to find a video of her in the middle of a ménage a trois with her ex-boyfriend and a gorgeous stranger. Unable to remember anything about the night, other than the hot sex she sees on the computer screen, Ashley begins a search for Mr. Hunk. She has no luck until he unexpectedly shows up–in her shower.
Hunter Hopewell intends to introduce Ash to a variety of sexual experiences he finds fun and exciting. He proposes a week long series of “colorful” encounters designed to seduce Ashley out of her kink comfort zone.
As their week of escalating pleasure intensifies, Ashley must choose to let go of her inhibitions or risk losing the best damn lover she’s ever had.

Welcome to Jenna’s Journal! I thought we’d ring in the new year with some auld lang syne, some memories of New Year’s Eves past.
My Five Top New Year’s Memories
1. 1st New Year’s Eve at Disney World. I’ve been to their fireworks display several times, but the first time I went it was so freakin’ bright I closed my eyes because I thought I was going to get a retina burn! LOL
2. 1st New Year’s With Baby. My daughter was born just a few days before New Year’s Eve and so the doctor decided to discharge me from the hospital on New Year’s Eve. We went home, stayed up until the ball dropped and went to bed. The next day we found out the hospital I’d been discharged from had caught on fire just hours after I’d left.
3. Moving Day. I moved in with my soon-to-be husband on New Year’s Eve. There was last minute packing and it got later and later. He kept calling me, insisting that I be in the house with him before the new year came. I made it with about 20 minutes to spare. We then celebrated with champagne.
4. Another New Year’s Eve at Disney World. This time my husband had broken his ankle and was in a wheelchair. We couldn’t get a motorized one that day, so I had to push him all over the park. Epcot does NOT lie on flat ground! And again, the fireworks were spectacular.
5. New Year’s Eve Party. My senior year in high school I decided to have a New Year’s Eve party. It ended up with about four kids showing up so we sat around and watched Dick Clark on TV and drank sparkling grape juice at midnight. I have not had a New Year’s Eve party since.
Leave me a comment below with your top New Year’s Eve memory and YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS to be entered in our Grand Prize drawing as well as my own drawing for a signed print copy of my historical novel Only Scandal Will Do. (Mine includes international readers!)

For my final Six Sentence Sunday post of the year, I’m putting up six from my historical novel, Only Scandal Will Do. It’s been the year of Scandal for me, with my first full-length novel finally being published in both e-book and print! This time last year I’d just been sent the gorgeous cover from my publisher at Lyrical. What a difference a year makes!
These six are from one of my favorite parts of the novel: Lady Katarina has just been formally introduced to the Marquess of Dalbury, the man who had bought her in a brothel auction three weeks before. They have just shared a dance and Dalbury has escorted her into the gardens in order for them to talk about their situation and he has just asked her to marry him.
“I can swear to you, Lord Dalbury, that I would not marry you if I were in Hell and you were my only hope of Heaven.”
“I believe you made a similar claim about dancing with me, Lady Katarina, yet we have indeed enjoyed a dance together despite your words.” His tone was soft, the sensuous, cajoling one he had used to seduce her that night in the House of Pleasure.
Kat trembled, recalling the incredible sensations of his hands, his mouth on her body.
“Is there nothing that would entice you to leave your Hell for my Heaven?”
She struggled to answer, opened her lips to deny it, only to find her mouth completely sealed by his.
And that kiss was all Dalbury’s idea! I had no intention of writing it at all! LOL
Thanks so much for visiting me today. Only Scandal Will Do is available now at Amazon,Barnes & Noble, and at Lyrical Press today through Monday for the incredible price of $1.50! If you wanted a copy, now’s your chance! Ring in the New Year with Kat and Duncan’s tale of love and adventure. 🙂

Such a treat for you today! I’ve got a Spotlight on Angela Quarel’s latest contemporary romantic comedy with paranormal elements. It’s a novelette from Secret Cravings called Beer and Groping in Las Vegas.
Blurb for Beer and Groping in Las Vegas:
Can a djinn and a magic slot machine bring two geeks together?
Riley McGregor is a geek trapped in a Good Ole Boy body and as owner of a microbrewery, smart chicks never look at him twice.
Rejected by a geek who wanted to “trade up,” Mirjam Linna would rather immerse herself in work than be the girlfriend-of-the-moment. Stranded in a Vegas hotel, she makes a wish—a night of hot sex with the man of her dreams. It’s granted. She agrees to dinner, but afterward, she’ll say thanks, but no thanks, and see what’s on the SyFy channel. But when they meet, they’re surprised to find they had a shared connection in their past. Sparks fly as these two learn to be in the moment, be themselves and find love.
Fans of Star Trek, Star Wars, Monty Python, Firefly and Marvin the Martian will enjoy this romantic comedy.
Excerpt for Beer and Groping in Las Vegas:
His khakis had the perfect fit—snug enough to hint at a fantastic bod, but not nerdy-tight. And definitely not the baggy style so many guys sported today. Not too tight, not too loose, but just right. Just call her Goldilocks of the Khaki Admirers. After all, a girl enjoyed a glimpse of firm butt. Speaking of which, she’d need to peek later.
But what attracted her most were his warm, intelligent, bourbon-brown eyes. She’d had a hard time looking into them during dinner, like she’d overexpose or singe herself, or worse, like they’d penetrate to the stark loneliness she buried so deep within.
At the bank of elevators inside the hotel, he pushed the Up arrow. Soon, a melodic ding chimed and the door opened on the ornate brass and marble interior. She crossed the threshold, her heel snagging in the gap, and she stumbled forward. Heat shot up her neck, up her face—he was going to think she was sloshed.
His arm gripped hers tighter, steadying her. “Whoa, there. I got you.” He led them inside. “I can’t imagine what it’s like walking around on those pointy things.”
“You should try it some time.”
He shuddered. “No, thank you.”
The doors closed, and Mirjam thumbed the button for her floor. His eyes turned serious, and he twirled her around so she pressed against him. Her heart stuttered at the feel of his strong body flush against hers for the first time. His heat. His scent. Oh God, his eyes.
“Mirjam. I feel like tonight is all about honesty. And just, well, being in the moment.”
Her breath caught. “I think I know what you mean,” she whispered.
He smiled. The warmth and sincerity of that smile touched her deep inside, reaching to that well-protected loneliness. “I’ll be honest then. I want you.” His hands stayed at her hips, holding her to him. “I’d love to be with you tonight.” His voice deepened, its tones joining his smile to melt her defenses. Fresh chills raced down her spine. “But at the same time, I don’t want you to do anything you’re not comfortable with,” he continued. “Do we agree that we’ll be honest with each other? You’ll tell me if you’re uncomfortable at any time?” He cupped her face, his hands so gentle. She leaned into one and her legs wobbled, feeling like so much goo.
“I want this, Riley.”
“You promise?”
“I promise.” Hell yes, she wanted this. Tapping into a seldom-used, inner streak of boldness, she moved her head and kissed his palm. Her tongue darted out, tracing his lifeline. His breath hitched, and she swore his rich, brown eyes darkened.
Wham. She glommed onto him like white plastic on a Stormtrooper, shamelessly pressing against his body, groping and kissing. He groaned, a good groan, cinched his arms around her waist, and spun them until her back hit the elevator wall. His tongue teased hers, probing gently at first and then with increasing heat. His arousal pressed against her stomach and a thrill tore through her. She’d caused this reaction!
She nibbled his bottom lip. Mmm. What would it feel like to—
The elevator’s sharp ding startled them apart. His eyes were wide, dark. They both panted as if they’d run laps.
Meet Angela Quarles: Angela works at an independent bookstore and lives in an historic house in the beautiful and quirky town of Mobile, AL, with her two matched gray cats, Darcy and Bingley. When she’s not writing, she enjoys the usual stuff like gardening, reading, hanging out, eating, drinking, chasing squirrels out of the walls and creating the occasional knitted scarf. She’s had a varied career, including website programming and directing a small local history museum.
She’s an admitted geek and is proud to be among the few but mighty Browncoats who watched Firefly the first night it aired. She was introduced to the wonderful world of science fiction by her father, by way of watching reruns of the original Star Trek in her tweens and later giving her a copy of Walter M. Miller Jr’s A Canticle for Leibowitz as a teenager. She hasn’t looked back since.
She has a B.A. in Anthropology and International Studies with a minor in German from Emory University, and a Masters in Heritage Preservation from Georgia State University. She was an exchange student to Finland in high school and studied abroad in Vienna one summer in college. She recently found representation with Maura Kye-Casella at Don Congdon, Assoc.
As a sophomore in college, Samantha Reddick meets Tony Amaya, a brokenhearted young man, whose written words she keeps as a memento of a weekend long affair. The words, written on the back of a paper placemat, become her only solid ground during a tumultuous decade that nearly destroys her, leaving her searching for answers at the bottom of the bottle. Haunted by guilt and the constant menace from a man she once loved, Samantha searches for Tony and inserts herself into his life through an online friend request to his wife, Gwen. Mutual curiosity opens the door to an unexpected friendship that becomes the catalyst of an inner battle between the better woman Samantha longs to be, and the Samantha who despises her own gaze.
Excerpt for The Gaze:
Tony didn’t look nervous at all. Meanwhile I was awash in uneasiness at the prospect of bringing him into my dorm.
The story, all I want is the story and to find out what motivates such passionate writing, that’s all. Just the story…
Liar…
I felt shaky while he walked. In contrast, his breathing was even as though he was so comfortable with the situation. I suddenly wondered if this particular situation was familiar to him.
We took the stairway to the second floor. Our footfalls echoed loudly, the sound joined only by the faint buzzing of the overhead fluorescent lights.
I unlocked the door with trembling hands that jangled the keys. Somehow, I found the light switch and chased the shadows away, revealing a second hand living room set on cheap flat carpeting. I peeled off my denim jacket and threw it across a chair in the kitchen nook. When I turned, I was surprised to see him leaning against the door, held back by uncertainty.
I held the paper placemat between us like an amulet to ward off his intensity. “Do you mind if I read it?”
He fixed his eyes on me and nodded before glancing away, his chin coming to rest on his chest.
I started reading. It was far more intense than I could have ever imagined. It was nothing but raw fury and passion, a determined declaration of love. It read of this girl that had become the center of his thoughts, the very core of his being. I could feel my heart breaking as I was overwhelmed with the strange notion that I wanted to be this Gwen of his. I wanted to know what it was to feel such passion, such love. Tears sprung in my eyes and I cried for him, for this fortunate girl…
For me…
He didn’t ask what was wrong right away. He simply stared just past my shoulder while I made a futile attempt to dispel a sob. I muttered that this was beautiful and he gave me a sad, crooked smile as a tear rolled off the corner of his eye before he turned his face away.
I don’t know what it was about that tear, but it made me go to him like a magnet to steel and place my hands on his face. His skin was burning. There was a little stubble that only made me too aware of his masculinity.
“Kiss me,” I whispered into those confused brown eyes of his. “Just kiss me.”
His hands found my wrists and his eyes stayed on mine. Need became a force as tangible as the strong winds that fuel a storm.
I knew he was thinking I was crazy. I knew he thought of all the reasons why he should stop this crazy bitch in heat and go away. Bloody hell, I was thinking I was crazy.
A tiny voice in my head was screaming all sorts of warnings but just when I felt rejection eating away at me, his eyes fell on my lips and after one breathless moment, he leaned down and kissed me.
Molten lead would have frozen my insides in comparison. I was trembling and when I felt his breath stutter, I opened my lips in invitation. He pulled away and a disappointed moan escaped my throat, allowing reason to slowly take root in my brain. I kept my eyes on his.
His hand held my face as delicately as a summer breeze. His thumb brushed away the tears I finally tried to blink away. His eyes seemed to glitter as they searched mine and time seemed to stop its endless march in perfect silence.
Was this wrong? I let out my pent up breath slowly in a sorrowful sigh as electricity crackled between us.
In one swift motion, his hands brought my face up at an angle and he kissed me so hard, I lost what little restraint I had left.
He loves someone else…
He loves her…
Stop this!
I felt weightless. His touch was firm yet gentle. The kiss grew needier and heat traveled down into my body, setting my abdomen aflutter. My hands found the flat planes of his chest and then ran down his sides to his hips. On their way back, they pushed his shirt up. His hot skin sent a pang of need that had my heart hammering in my ribcage.
My tickling fingers forced him to shift and pull away for a breath. I answered his smile with a lustful gaze as I brought his hands to the buttons of my uniform shirt.
His hands ventured over my abdomen and moved up to grace the underside of my breasts, making my head swim. I shrugged the shirt off and his t-shirt joined it on the floor within seconds.
We engaged in a stumbling waltz as we somehow made our way to my bedroom. Our clothes kept pooling on the floor, marking our passing like bread crumbs on an unknown trail. I was almost sick with need as the coarse hair of his chest made contact with my skin. When I felt him rigid on my thighs, I pulled hard on his neck, bringing him on top of me as he braced his fall with his arms on either side of me, never breaking from the kiss.
“Wait…” he panted. “I… um… I don’t have anything.”
It took a few seconds before I realized what he meant. Shame colored me a shade of red I thought would make me glow in the semi darkness. “It’s okay, I promise…” I said breathlessly.
He gave me a dubious look that I hoped to eradicate with more kissing. His lips found my throat, my face, my shoulder, and I curled driving my hips up to meet him. He was being gentle, too gentle, I thought in frustration, when all I wanted was for him to go right through me. I grabbed hold of his hips, and then thoroughly enjoyed the feel of the muscles on his back as I pulled him into me. The sudden fullness forced me to bite my lip to keep me from crying out. It had been so bloody long…
“Kelly…” he whispered almost breaking the spell, but I was too far gone to care.
A thin wisp of rational thought told me he was probably thinking about someone else. I wondered if he called out Kelly only to remind himself that he wasn’t with the girl behind his writing. It didn’t matter. My body overrode my mind as he moved within me. I held on tighter, needing the closeness, if only physical.
…I’ll be no more than a transient thought in her mind, a small measure of time, insignificant. No more than a barely familiar set of notes to a song seldom remembered…
The lines of his writing flashed through my head as my breath grew shallower.
…No more can I feel the soft warmth of her kiss and its absence becomes me in the form of a living death…
All I could do was accept this moment and quell my own thirst for that kind of love with what little he offered me. The kind of love he obviously reserved for the girl from his writing.
His muscles grew taut under my touch while I held my breath as the inevitable rush of heat converged into my center from all corners of my body. I parted the kiss and screamed my ecstasy, burying my face into his chest while he grew impossibly large in me before collapsing, his own conclusion reached. We held onto each other, our breath ragged, both of us feeling each other’s tremors. If this was the one and only time I was to feel this way, then I’d go into the grave smiling to the high heavens.
