As a final bit of celebration Only Scandal Will Do‘s release, I wanted  to introduce you to all of the House of Pleasure books. It is a five book series, set in Georgian England in the early 1760s, just as George III is taking the throne. It’s a time of wild and wicked ways, when sword fighting was a way of life, and duels prevailed as the measure of a man’s honor.

One of the things that binds the series together are the interactions of the Marquess of Dalbury and his friends and relatives, but also the setting of several scenes in each book in the House of Pleasure, the exclusive and notorious brothel where the marquess first encounters Lady Katarina Fitzwilliam. The cast of characters intertwine throughout the books, although they can each be read as stand alone novels.

Only Pleasure Will Do is the final book of the House of Pleasure series. It is the story of Amorina Vestry, the madam of the brothel, who is not exactly what she seems to be. When she is kidnapped, Sir Reginald Matthews, the Bow Street Runner who is cousin to Lady Katarina and her brother, the Earl of Manning, is engaged to find her and together when he does, they embark on a dangerous and dark journey filled with treachery, scandal, and passion.

This final book of the series will release in late August, the third House of Pleasure book to be released independently this summer. I’m finishing the edits for it now and by the first of August it will be up for pre-sale. It is an original work, never before published, so I hope by summer’s end, you’ll have caught up on the series and be ready for the final installment of the series.
