Sweet Saturday Sample–3/03 Heart of Deception

Welcome back to Sweet Saturday Sample!  All excerpts here are rated PG-13 or milder.  I decided to post one more excerpt from my Victorian short story, Heart of Deception, because if you want to read the end, you can get it FREE this weekend on Amazon.

The story, set in London, 1860, follows Lady Celinda Graham, who is head-over-heels in love with a man to whom her father has strong objections.  In this sample, we find out a good deal more about Andrew’s scheme for the couple to wed.

His musings were interrupted by the sound of hurrying feet outside the room.  The door opened and Celinda rushed in, stopping dead at the sight of him in such a state of undress.  He smiled in encouragement.

“You left the note for my father?”  Her voice was a strangled whisper.

He nodded, noting that her eyes did not leave the expanse of chest left bare by the discarded cravat.  She licked her lips and that small movement caused his stomach to drop, and something else to rise.

“When will he arrive?”

His breathing changed to short gasps at the sight of her in such proximity to the bed.  “He’s with his steward right now.”  He noticed her breathing had become erratic as well.  “I sent the note by Tillby.  It could be a while before he discovers us.”

She nervously licked her lips again and he was undone.

Come back next week for another little sample from a new work.

Hope you enjoyed today’s sample of Heart of Deception.  And remember, if you want to read the rest, just click the link above to own your own copy.

So if you’ve been wanting to read  it, now’s your chance!  And if you like it, if you’d post a review at Amazon or Goodreads, I’d really appreciate it. 🙂

Second piece of good news:  On the House Millar blogsite today, Aine Massie has reviewed my erotic contemporary, Almost Perfect.  I was thrilled when she told me she loved it, but I’ll let you take a look at the review for yourself.  Needless to say, I’m extremely pleased!

Hog Wild for Horny Hump Day 2/29/12

Wilkomen! Bien Venue!

Horny Hump Day!

WARNING:  MATERIAL NOT SUITABLE FOR THOSE UNDER THE AGE OF 18!

NOT SAFE FOR WORK!

Wednesdays in February will definitely speak of love and lust as Horny Hump Day gets hotter and hotter!  Participating authors post three sentences from their published works or WIP, hot enough to melt your computer screen!  Or at least I hope so. LOL

Leapin’ lizards!  It’s a Leap Year!  And today’s Leap Day!  So I’m leaping into a brand new book for Horny Hump Day, my erotic fractured fairy tale, Hog Wild.

Seducing bikers Beau and Rob Hogue and commandeering their Harleys is easy for Lula Wolfendale; finding sexual satisfaction isn’t.  Can their older brother Jesse fill the bill? In a sexual contest for his Phantom motorcycle, will Lula emerge with a bike to die for or the climax of her dreams?

At this point, Beau is flat on his back working on his motorcycle.  Lula appears and offers to help.  She’s just finished tightening the bolts of his Harley Panhead.

He watched enthralled as the goddess cleared the bike and kept walking— until she towered over him, one booted foot on either side of his hips. Her pussy was maybe two feet directly above his complaining dick. If he unzipped his fly, and she zoomed straight down—

I leave the rest to your–and Beau’s–imagination until next week!  Meanwhile, have a Happy Horny Hump Day!  Oh, and be sure to leave a comment and let me know if I need more sizzle!  I love to read your comments.

Please check out the Horny Hump Day blog site for the other sites on the hop and go visit the other hot authors.  Quick before your iced tea melts!   It also gives the details of how to sign up for next week if you’d like to play with us. 🙂

I’m offering a contest today, to get a month of Hog Wild off to a great start.  One lucky commenter will win a copy of Hog Wild–one of the “banned books” at Smashwords!  Want to know what all the fuss is about–make a comment and enter to win a copy!

Thanks so much for visiting the Journal once more for Horny Hump Day.

Six Sentence Sunday–2/26/12 Only Scandal Will Do

Welcome back to Six Sentence Sunday!  I want to thank everyone, once again, for their great support each week.  I do appreciate your visits and look forward to each comment with anticipation.  I also look forward to visiting your sites and reading your wonderful stories.

Katarina and the masked man are back!  Once again I’m following up my six from last week with another next six sentences  from Only Scandal Will Do.

If you remember, Duncan has purchased a woman in a brothel auction and has come to claim his prize.  His “slave” however, continues to insist there has been a mistake.  He has managed to turn the tables on the “lady” and called her virtue into question.  Outraged, she turned and fled, only to be stopped short by her purchaser. Now she’s put some distance–and a chair– between them, how is she to convince him?

“Sir, you must hear me. I truly am not what you think.” His skeptical stare was bearable, but when he pursed his lips and made a “tsk tsking ” sound, he might as well have shouted the word “whore.”

“I am not!” Katarina clutched the chair’s golden upholstery to keep from launching herself at him and wrapping her fingers around his arrogant throat. “I am Lady Katarina Fitzwilliam, sister to the Earl of Manning—kidnapped and brought here tonight against my will.”

Hmmm.  Her story might be true?  Think he believes her yet?

If you’d like to read more about Kat’s plight, check out my posts from January at Sweet Saturday Sample and February here at SSS.  Come back next week for another six sentence installment.

Thanks once more for visiting Six Sentence Sunday.  Click the SSS to try out more author snippets.  You’ll be glad you did!

Sweet Saturday Sample–2/25 Heart of Deception

Welcome back to Sweet Saturday Sample!  All excerpts here are rated PG-13 or milder.  I’m continuing with my Victorian short story, Heart of Deception, though this will be the final sample from this book. (If I post much more of it and you’ll have the whole thing!)

The story, set in London, 1860, follows Lady Celinda Graham, who is head-over-heels in love with a man to whom her father has strong objections.  In this sample, we find out a good deal more about Andrew.

“Celinda, I have an idea how we can gain your father’s approval for our marriage, but it’s rather daring.  I don’t know if you would agree to it.”  His eyes glinted with a roguish flare.  “I don’t know if you should agree to it.”

As if an icicle had been drawn down her spine, goose-flesh rose on Celinda’s arms.  “What is it, Andrew?”

“Scandal, my love.  But it would make sure that we could marry.”

“Scandal?”  Her voice squeaked.

He smiled wickedly as he drew her head towards him.  “Let me whisper it in your ear, love.”

* * * *

Andrew glanced around the upstairs paneled hallway of the manor house, making sure he was not seen.  He stopped before a plain oak door, sent one more furtive look over his shoulder, then twisted the knob and entered.  Pulling the door closed, he leaned his powerful body against it, remembering with a smile how little coaxing it had taken for Celinda to agree to his plan.  Was she as excited at the prospect of this tryst as he was?  It made the seduction much easier than expected.

His eyes roamed the room, resting at last on the pink and white ruffles adorning the coverlet on Celinda’s bed.  Her virginal bed.  He loosened his cravat and removed his coat.  After tonight, however. . .   He grinned into the empty room, pleased at how well the ruse had gone so far, and wondered if tonight would go as planned.  If only his conscience had not begun to nag him, to cause him to doubt the reasoning behind the whole ploy.

Andrew shook his head.  He had to go through with this.  Too much could go wrong if he relented.  He paced around the room, waiting for Celinda, hardly cognizant of his surroundings. Halting next to the fireplace where a small fire burned, he stared into the flickering embers.

Did Celinda love him?  God, but she was young. She had confessed she thought herself in love last year, but had given up both suitors after her father made strenuous objections.  But she refused to give him up this year and seemed willing to take desperate measures to secure him.  Did this speak of love or lust?  Which would be served tonight?  He knew which one he served.

Come back next week for another little sample from a new work.

Hope you enjoyed today’s sample of Heart of Deception.  If you want to know the rest of the story, it’s available for the tempting price of .99 at Books To Go Now, Amazon, All Romance E-Books, and Barnes and Noble.

Heart of Deception:  A Victorian Historical Romance

Celinda Graham—young, naïve, passionate—is head-over-heels in love with Andrew Finley, Viscount Hurston and insists on marrying him. Unfortunately, Andrew’s family has been feuding with Celinda’s for generations.  When her father refuses to allow the marriage, Andrew proposes a scandalous way to get his approval.  But Andrew has a secret that may spell disaster to his plans if Celinda finds out he is not what he seems.

Hog Wild:  An Erotic Fractured Fairytale

When Lula Wolfendale’s motorcycle breaks down on her way to a Harley rally, she detours into tiny Shoshone, CA to find a new ride.  Seducing bikers Beau and Rob Hogue and commandeering their Harleys is easy;
finding sexual satisfaction is a “hog” of a different color.  A Blue Phantom, to be exact, owned by the pair’s older brother, Jesse.  After brief, unsatisfying encounters with the first two Hogues, Lula approaches Jesse with a proposition:  a sexual contest for his Phantom, where Lula will emerge with either a bike to die for or the climax of her dreams.  Or can she possibly obtain both?

Almost Perfect:  An Erotic Contemporary in the 1Night Stand Series

Pamela Kimball’s birthday present, a 1Night Stand adventure, promises jump-start her life, put a new man in her bed, and help her forget her past.  Unfortunately, movie-buff Pam’s Pirates of the Caribbean fantasy takes an alarming wrong turn when she’s abandoned on a not quite
deserted island—with ex-husband Roger Ware.

Forced by hunger to accept Roger’s offer of dinner,  Pam realizes the geek she married has transformed into one of the most charming, sexiest men she’s ever met. His newfound confidence—and hot body—re-kindles old fires.  A simple kiss leads Roger to challenge her to discover how much his lovemaking skills have improved, leaving Pam torn between self-preservation and burning desire.

With time running out before they’re rescued, Pam must decide if her heart can survive the consequences of becoming Roger’s “almost” perfect 1Night Stand.

Now to rejoin the Hop, just click on the button below and it will take you on to gather other treasure.  Just Remember:  It’s All About the Romance!

Horny Hump Day 2/22/12: Almost Perfect

Welcome Once More to Horny Hump Day!

LOL

February is Almost Perfect month so I’m putting up three more scorching hot sentences from that erotic release, part of Decadent Publishing’s 1Night Stand series.

Pam Kimball’s been marooned on a not so deserted island–with her ex-husband.  They divorced over her demeaning his lovemaking skills, but now Roger boasts he’s learned  lot in two years.  And boy has he!  One scorching encounter after another and the next morning they’re still hot for it.

He worked his hips in shallow thrusts, each pressing deeper. Completely filled with him, she had no breath to speak. Nodding languidly, she allowed the slow rhythm to focus every morsel of pleasure on her hungry core.

I bet he’s enjoying showing off!

Come back next week for the last snippet to see what else he has in store for Pam!

You can also find me over at Storm Goddess Book Reviews today being interviewed by Nikki Barrett.  She asks some pretty fun questions!  I’m also giving away a copy of Almost Perfect, so come check out what kind of mythological pet I’d like to have and have a chance to win!

Thanks so much for visiting the Journal once more for Horny Hump Day.

Hog Heaven!

In case you missed it, yesterday my publisher, New Dawning International Bookfair, offered my erotic contemporary short, Hog Wild, as a Free Read on Amazon. There was apparently some interest in the book, because when the dust settled, Hog Wild sat at #28 for Free Reads in Erotica!

Plus, I got two fantastic reviews for the book.  You can read Yezall Strongheart’s entire review on Amazon, but I thought I’d give you a little preview:

“Very well written, this book was meant to entertain as well as excite. A good read for male or female readers.”

Then this morning, I woke up to find Daryl Devore had also given me a glowing review on her blog My Erotic Notions (click to check out the entire review).  Here are a couple of great highlights:

“Jenna Jaxon’s Twisted Fairy Tale – HOG WILD – is a fast paced sexual thrill ride. ”

“I highly recommend HOG WILD. The writing is tight and the characters are exotic and erotic.  A bit of advice, you’ll need a lot of ice tea to sip to stay cool while reading it.”

I’m so tickled, I’m starting to want to re-visit these characters.  Those who have read Hog Wild, would you like to see further adventures of the Hogue brothers?  Specifically, stories about Beau and Rob’s love lives?  I’ve had a couple of ideas I’ve been kicking around and thought now might be the right time to stop kicking and start clicking the keyboard.  Let me know what you think.  Are there more matches to be made in “Hog Heaven?”

Six Sentence Sunday–2/19/12 Only Scandal Will Do

Welcome back to Six Sentence Sunday!  I want to thank everyone, once again, for their great support each week.  I do appreciate your visits and look forward to each comment with anticipation.  I also look forward to visiting your sites and reading your wonderful stories.

Katarina and the masked man are back!  Once again I’m following up my six from last week with the next six sentences  from Only Scandal Will Do.

Now she’s opted to try to reason with the man, speaking to him in honeyed tones.  Let’s see if she’s been able to persuade him to listen to her story.

Releasing her hair, the stranger grabbed her hand. “We both know how you will end up, my slave. Come.” He pulled her toward the four-poster.  She dug her toes into the rough, worn carpeting. Honey be damned, she had no intention of going anywhere near that bed.

I think that was a “no.” LOL  Now, how’s she going to get out of this predicament?

If you’d like to read more about Kat’s plight, check out my posts from January at Sweet Saturday Sample and come back next week for another six sentence installment.
