This week’s word is somehow very apropos to my way of thinking.
Bubbleable:
“Capable of being duped.” from T. Lewis Davies Supplementary English Glossary, 1881.
Further looking up duped, I came up with “a person who is easily deceived or fooled.” And “A person who unquestioningly or unwittingly serves a cause or another person.”
So many women in the Regency. . .well, to be fair, in all periods, managed to become dupes of men who used them and then moved on to something or someone else, leaving the women ruined. So they would have been “bubbleable” indeed.

“Bubbleable”??? Lolol. I thought “fribble” would always be my favorite Regency word, but I think this may surpass it.
