Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors!
I’m back again this week with my current WIP, Beloveds. It has the same characters as my Time Enough to Love trilogy, so if you’ve been wanting more about Alyse, here you go. There has been some rather creative punctuation demonstrated in this snippet this week.
Please forgive the still very rough first draft. This snippet continues a little after where we left off last time. Thomas and Alyse’s encounter is heating up. ):
He pressed her into the soft mattress and they sank into it, his weight a welcomed burden. He raised his head, his eyes burning with his passion to whisper, “I have missed you sorely, love.” He kissed her eyes, her cheeks, then slid his tongue around the rim of her ear, his breath raspy in her ear.
Goose flesh broke out all over her and she shivered, though from a fever of a different kind. When he sucked on her earlobe she moaned and clutched him to her murmuring, “ I could barely stand the pain when you were gone.”
“Shhh, think not on it, sweet Alyse,” he said, sitting up suddenly and ripping his tunic over his head.
Sight of his sleek chest, muscles rippling with every movement, sent a pang of lust to her core.
“I am here now and I shall make you burn as never before.”
That’s all for this week. Hope you enjoyed it!
If you want to read my medieval series, Betrothal, Betrayal, and Beleaguered before Beloveds releases (if not, Beloveds will have spoilers) they are all available on Amazon, Smashwords, and ARe .
And don’t forget to check out the rest of the Warriors here. There’s some fantastic snippets to be read.

I liked this line: “… his weight a welcomed burden. ”
I always have to end my comment with this: write faster. 🙂
