Funny. In fact, in Lydia Bennet’s story, her overly critical and financially irresponsible father did set her on her path to acquire a husband. Nor, is she sorry for her actions. She acquires her Lt. Wickham and a fortune of her own, which she would not have achieved if she had behaved.
