The print version of my medieval romance, Time Enough to Love, released on Monday of this week. It’s now available at Amazon and CreateSpace.
I am also doing giveaways of Time Enough to Love on both Goodreads and Booklikes. I will be giving away 5 copies in each venue. The Goodreads Giveaway runs from September 16 thru October 31, 2014. The Booklikes Giveaway runs from September 3 thru September 25, 2014.
On the Home Front: Meet Sebastian
This is the newest member of our family: Sebastian. My family adopted him from fellow
historical author Ella Quinn this past May and he’s been slowly making himself at home for the past four and a half months. The first four months he spent in the master bath where we set up an apartment for him so he could acclimate to our other three cats and one dog. He was standoffish until about two weeks ago suddenly he started roaming all over the house, jumping up on tables, trying to steal food from the counter. I guess he finally feels at home. 🙂
I think he’s very debonair–sort of a Cary Grant of cats. Everyone who meets him certainly falls in love with him.
Jenna Fun Fact of the Week
1970 White Chevy Impala
The first car I ever owned was a 1970 Chevy Impala, white exterior with light blue interior. The car was a tank–full metal and built when gas cost about .50 per gallon. It seated about 7 people, would go over 70 mph, even in the mountains, and I named her Gertrude. I had her for 13 years and she served me well (even though she left me stranded a couple of times when the starter failed–shades of Cujo!). I loved that car and I’ve never named another one.

Seems like most of the contest are for e-readers or kindle and I can’t do them ,Second the new addition is a real cutie I had a cat that could have been Sabastian’s twin for over15 yrs and when he went to that great play ground in the sky I cried for over a month , they seem to invade your heart and just take root lol , Enjoy Sabastian 🙂

What a lovely cat. We can’t have one where we live (it’s a no-pet building; besides, my husband is wildly allergic), but I have a niece with 17 of them.
I named my first car, a Volkswagon Fastback. Her name was Matilda, and a friend of mine (a fine artist) painted a picture of a koala on the fender. Unfortunately, she developed an oil leak and I couldn’t afford to have the engine overhauled to fix it. Loved that car. I haven’t named one since.

Sorry to hear your husband is allergic to cats–I’ve always been a cat person and except when I was off at college I’ve always owned a cat.
When I was in high school a guy I dated owned a Gremlin and had flames painted on the front hood and body. We called it the Flame Gremlin. LOL Loved that car too. So much character. Gertrude didn’t have artwork, but her bumper was filled with bumper stickers–so much so you couldn’t see the chrome!

I named my bike Gazella (after the gazelle) when I was younger, though I haven’t named my car. I always did like the idea of naming cars, though. Maybe someday, if I ever have the money, space, and time to pursue my dream hobby of collecting, showing, and driving antique cars (particularly Brass Age).

I like the idea of naming cars as well, Carrie-Anne. I wonder I haven’t done it more often. My father had a nickname for all of his: Green Hornet, Black Daliah, Red Menace. I guess his was a color thing. 🙂

Thanks, Daisy! 🙂 I’m not sure why I haven’t named any of my other cars. Gertrude had such a strong personality I guess the othera haven’t made it to “name” status. Although i will say, my current car has been fantastic–I’ve abused it terribly and it keeps on going without a qualm.

Me too, D’Ann! We currently have four now. 🙂 The oldest is 21 years old. Sebastian is the baby at about 6 years. The other two are between 8 and 9. He’s the only male.

Oh, yes, she knows. LOL Her husband had to bring him up here from St. Thomas. He was very lonely after their Great Dane died. She was his best friend and the other cats didn’t like him. We bonded while I was visiting in March, so Ella suggested we take him. And our family just loves him to death. 🙂 Like I said, a very debonair cat.
