This weekend should bring the long-awaited (at least by me) release of Beleaguered, the final installment of my medieval serial novel, Time Enough to Love.
In this snippet, as the plague rages, an angry Geoffrey has caught Alyse fleeing toward her chamber.
She raised her face defiantly to him and, given his current mood, she braced for a blow in return.
Instead, he swooped down, crushing his lips against hers.
She tried to shake him free, but he took possession of her mouth with deep thrusts of his tongue.
