In keeping with yesterday’s post–The Historical Quickie–I’m giving you a snippet of Thomas and Alyse’s “quickie” from Betrayal. They have been forbidden to go up on deck, but they defy the order and seek a tryst under the stars.
He caressed her backside then lifted her up, settled her upon his eager shaft. A muted groan of pleasure escaped as the throbbing heat slid deep within her. She leaned forward to kiss him, and he pushed her into a gentle rocking rhythm that gathered speed, causing the tension inside her to mount quickly, spurred on by the forbidden nature of their act.

Thank you, Katherine. Yes, somehow making love under the stars seems more romantic than anything–despite the hard ground (planks in this instance), rocks, bugs and the like. A canopy of stars makes you forgive a lot. 🙂
