So we return this week to Geoffrey and Alyse and their first hot encounter.
He returned to her nipples, and they hardened once more at the stroke of his tongue. He slid his hand smoothly down her body, sending flutterings everywhere. When he rested his hand on the tangle of curls above her closed thighs, heat streaked inward to her core and a throbbing beat began inside, so strange a feeling that embarrassment and fear reappeared.

I loved the realism in her reaction… Especially for a historical, nothing turns me off more than when a virgin seems to know too much of what she’s feeling or what to expect. They wouldn’t have known–espcially a lady. There were books, but most girls wouldn’t know about them or ever think about reading them and no one talked about what went on between the sheets.

I like the realism of her reaction. It gives her something to overcome — it can’t be too easy or it wouldn’t be as much fun — and for him to help her with, too. They’re a great couple, Jenna.
