In case you haven’t heard:

BETROTHAL IS SET TO RELEASE ON APRIL 19!

HOORAY!

So, today you get the final 8 from Betrothal, my medieval romance set in the 14th century.   In this snippet, a continuation of yesterday’s Sweet Saturday Sample (view here), Geoffrey and Thomas are plotting .

Thomas grinned at that, and the tension eased. “We do indeed. ‘Sir Thomas and the Lovesick Fool.’” He sobered. “My pardon, if my words have brooked a quarrel betwixt you and your lady. ’Twas not my intent.”

He offered his hand and slowly Geoffrey reached out his as well. “So relate to me what has transpired and I will devise a plan of action to win back the regard of the fair Alyse.” His mouth turned up into a knowing smile. “For who knows better than I how to seduce a woman?”

This is the final installment before the release! 🙂  Please come by the blog on Friday.  I’ll have several posts and contests to celebrate.  And if you wouldn’t mind, please Tweet about my release or this post today and throughout the week.  I’ll have several posts that have to do with Betrothal–including the Horny Hump Day offering!  A sexy side to Alyse and Geoffrey! Hope to see you this week!

You have to wonder just what kind of plot he’ll come up with to fix everything. Great snippet!

I love how Thomas pats himself on the back at the end. You’ve gotta love a man who’s so cocky and a legend in his own mind.

  5. Thomas is redeeming himself. Obviously, he really does care about Geoffrey’s happiness, even if he was a little cold-hearted initially. Terrific excerpt. Looking forward the the whole enchilada!
