How will you celebrate the solstice?
1. Visit Stonehenge. This site on the Salisbury plain is a well-known place where people gather to celebrate the solstice. It’s one of the ancient traditions that originally drew me to the holiday. I’d love to be at the site and see the light on midsummer’s morning shining through the standing stones.
2. A Day at the Beach. Summer fun in the sand–what could be better? A little oil, a little heat and who knows what sparks might fly!
3. A Romantic Picnic. “A loaf of bread, a jug of wine, and thou.” Who could ask for anything more? Well, perhaps some strawberries, a little cream, and chocolate. Sounds like a romantic menu to me!
4. A Fireworks Celebration. Fireworks are always a great way to celebrate any festive occasion. you don’t have to wait for the 4th of July. Those sparklers are already available–grab a few and make your own private fireworks display.
5. Read a Good Book. As the sign says, Reading is Sexy. Wouldn’t you just love to read over his shoulder? And what better to read than romance!
If you’re in the market for a few good books, check out mine!
Coming later this summer:
Only Scandal Will Do
Blurb:
He has the woman of his dreams, but what price will he have to pay to win her heart?
Kidnapped and sold at auction in a London brothel, Lady Katarina Fitzwilliam squelches an undeniable attraction to the masked stranger who purchased her, pits her wits against him, and escapes him and the scandal that would ruin her life.
Unable to resist temptation in a London brothel, Duncan Ferrers, Marquess of Dalbury, purchases a fiery beauty. She claims she’s a lady, but how can she be? No lady of his acquaintance in polite society is anything like her. Then he discovers she is who she says, and that this latest romp has compromised her reputation. He knows how that is. One more scandal and he’ll be cast out of London society, but he needs a wife who’ll provide an heir to carry on his illustrious family’s name. He seeks out Katarina, intending only to scotch the scandal, but instead finds his heart ensnared. He’s betting their future he’ll capture her heart, but does he have what it takes to win the wager?
WARNING: A blade-wielding heroine who crosses swords with a master of sensuality.

Hog Wild
Blurb:
When Lula Wolfendale’s motorcycle breaks down on her way to a Harley rally, she makes a detour into tiny Shoshone, CA to find a replacement. Seducing biker Beau Hogue and commandeering his Harley is easy; finding sexual satisfaction is a “hog” of a different color. A Blue Phantom, to be exact, owned by Beau’s older brother Jesse. After brief, unsatisfying encounters with his younger brothers, Lula approaches Jesse with a proposition: a sexual battle for his Phantom, where Lula will emerge with either a bike to die for or the climax of her dreams. Or is there a way for her to obtain both?
Almost Perfect
Blurb:
Pamela Kimball’s birthday present, a 1Night Stand adventure, promises to jump-start her life, put a new man in her bed, and help her forget her past. Unfortunately, movie-buff Pam’s Pirates of the Caribbean fantasy takes an alarming wrong turn when she’s abandoned on a not quite deserted island—with ex-husband Roger Ware.
Forced by hunger to accept Roger’s offer of dinner, Pam realizes the geek she married has transformed into one of the most charming, sexiest men she’s ever met. His newfound confidence—and hot body—re-kindle old fires. A simple kiss leads Roger to challenge her to discover how much his lovemaking skills have improved, leaving Pam torn between self-preservation and burning desire.
With time running out before they’re rescued, Pam must decide if her heart can survive the consequences of becoming Roger’s “almost” perfect 1Night Stand.
Heart of Deception
Blurb:
Celinda Graham—young, naïve, passionate—is head-over-heels in love with Andrew Finley, Viscount Hurston and insists on marrying him. Unfortunately, Andrew’s family has been feuding with Celinda’s for generations. When her father refuses to allow the marriage, Andrew proposes a scandalous way to get his approval. But Andrew has a secret that may spell disaster to his plans if Celinda finds out he is not what he seems.

I would have loved to do something really special, like going to Stonehedge. But my night was spent reading and getting some much needed and wanted sleep!

I will be spending my solstice with a book (or three) in my hand. I bounce from my android kindle app to my pc kindle app to paperbacks. It can be a hectic being caught up in multiple stories at once, but that just makes is a great distraction from reality.
