I’ve got one or two more teasings from Scandal, and I hope I’ll have news for you about when it will be available.
The masked man has purchased a woman in a brothel auction and has come to claim his prize. His “slave” however, continues to insist there has been a mistake. He has managed to turn the tables on the “lady” and call her virtue into question. While evading the man’s advances, they discover a missing bit of vital information that seems turn the tide of his opinion of her. Then, in a moment of weakness, Katarina lets down her guard and things begin to heat up. She was reveling in a scorching kiss from the stranger who is bent on taking further liberties when reality crashes back, safe haven becoming a trap she too easily falls into. She makes a last-ditch attempt to free herself…and realizes she has been duped.
He never once believed her story. And she had let this scoundrel touch her…
Twisting, she fought back as he pressed her into the soft covers. With ease he gripped her hands, raised them above her head. God, but he was strong! He pushed her gown up to her hips and an insistent hardness pressed against her legs as he tried to part them.
This is so not looking good for Kat.

Hmm…a forced seduction may be in the offing? I can’t help it, I love this kind of story. The first romance I ever read was The Flame and the Flower by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss–talk about a forced seduction!! Then there was the repeated forced seductions of Ginny by Steve Morgan in Sweet Savage Love by Rosemary Rogers. *Sigh* Can’t wait to read this one, Jenna!! Great six.

“Rape” fantasies never go away in romance novels, which I think tells us something about women. No one wants to be really raped, but the idea of forced consent (in this case, coerced because she finds him seductive in a rough way) is titillating to many readers. It makes him more dangerous which is where I think it all comes from. Women love their bad boys. You made him sexy and forceful with your skillful writing, Jenna. It’s fun watching these two spar.
