Reader Rally Blog Hop 1/17-1/31/12

What better way to fight off the mid-winter blues (here in the US anyway) than a super great Reader Rally Blog Hop!  Books are what makes the world go ’round for us and for the next two weeks, my blog and lots more like it, are offering fantastic book giveaways!

My most recent release Almost Perfect, part of Decadent Publishing’s 1Night Stand series, fits perfectly with the beach theme depicted in the Hop Logo.  Almost Perfect takes place
on a deserted–well, almost deserted–island.  What better place to kick back, read, or fall in love.

Blurb for Almost Perfect:

Pamela Kimball’s birthday present, a 1Night Stand adventure, promises jump-start her life, put a new man in her bed, and help her forget her past.  Unfortunately, movie-buff Pam’s Pirates of the Caribbean fantasy takes an alarming wrong turn when she’s abandoned on a not quite deserted island—with ex-husband Roger Ware.

Forced by hunger to accept Roger’s offer of dinner,  Pam realizes the geek she married has transformed into one of the most charming, sexiest men she’s ever met. His newfound confidence—and hot body—re-kindles old fires.  A simple kiss leads Roger to challenges her to discover how much his lovemaking skills have improved, leaving Pam torn between self-preservation and burning desire.

With time running out before they’re rescued, Pam must decide if her heart can survive the consequences of becoming Roger’s “almost” perfect 1Night Stand.

If you like erotic contemporary, you might just like my Fractured Fairytale re-telling of the Three Little Pigs called Hog Wild.

Blurb for Hog Wild:

When Lula Wolfendale’s motorcycle breaks down on her way to a Harley rally, she makes a detour into tiny Shoshone, CA to find a replacement.  Seducing biker Beau Hogue and commandeering his Harley is easy; finding sexual satisfaction is a “hog” of a different color.  A Blue Phantom, to be exact, owned by Beau’s older brother Jesse.  After brief, unsatisfying encounters with Jesse’s younger brothers, Lula approaches Jesse with a proposition:  a sexual battle for his Phantom, where Lula will emerge with either a bike to die for or the climax of her dreams.  Or is there a way for her to obtain both?

Or if you like something very different, you might want to check out my historical romance Heart of Deception, from Books To Go Now.

Blurb for Heart of Deception:

Celinda Graham—young, naïve, passionate—is head-over-heels in love with Andrew Finley, Viscount Hurston and insists on marrying him. Unfortunately, Andrew’s family has been feuding with Celinda’s for generations.  When her father refuses to allow the marriage, Andrew proposes a scandalous way to get his approval.  But Andrew has a secret that may spell disaster to his plans if Celinda finds out he is not what he seems.

  4. Oh gosh! That’s a really hard question! I started romance novels reading Kathleen Woodiwiss but in the last couple of years I have fallen in love with paranormal romances. Nothing compares to Kathleen’s books though. I don’t remember the name of the book but there was one that grabbed me by the heart and has never let go. I think it was about a couple that fell in love but he was from an earlier time. She kept his son from dying and in the end she had to come back to her own time. I’ve never found a book that measures up to that kind of romance since.

  5. Hi Jenna! Thanks for this great giveaway:)

“Lady Pirate” by Lynsay Sands has to be the best romance novel I’ve ever read. It’s hilarious, heart-meltingly romantic, adventurous and utterly beautiful. Thank you for this chance to win one of your great titles! All three seem like such great reads. I do, however, have a weakness for tales of old romances rekindling, so “Almost Perfect” sounds like the perfect read. Thank you for this chance!

My all time fav romance is A Rose In Winter by Kathleen Woodiwiss. I totally miss that woman’s writing! I go through once or twice a year and reread some of my favorites of hers just to remind myself that while she may not be here to write any more fabulous novels, we can at least still enjoy what she left behind! greeneyesredhair@gmail.com

I’m with you there, Lora. Her writing influenced me like no other. I’ve got all her works, of course, but my faves are The Wolf and the Dove and The Rose in Winter. Her Everlasting was the book that inspired me to become a romance writer. 🙂
