“Tell Me A Story…”

A fit of whimsy hit me this evening.  I wanted to do something creative on the blog but after my first day back at school, I’m too tired to create something for you.  So I’m going to ask you writers and readers, in the spirit of that great storyteller Scheherazade, “Tell me a story.”

I’m going to give you the first line of a story and let you run with it.  Whoever picks up the thread needs to start at the end of my sentence and take the story in whatever direction your fancy dictates.  It can reflect your chosen genre (paranormal, historical, fantasy, erotic, mystery, etc.) and you can give me a line or two or twenty.  You are bound only by your imagination, creativity and the time you are willing to give.  The next person to comment then takes up where the other one left off and so on.  And you can come back multiple times if you so desire.  I think this could be pretty cool.

So…

Winifred slammed the door of her 1966 red Thunderbird convertible and ran toward the pool house, her high heels crunching on the gravel driveway.  He’s going to kill me if I’m late again.

Tag, you’re all IT!  (Thanks in advance for playing!)

  1. Floating candles bobbed in the tiny ripples of the pool’s surface, winking at her in the light of a dozen flames. The man who would be her leader this night flipped the knife in his hand.
“And how should I punish you?” he said. “Will it be by the whip or the feather tonight?”

“Oh thank goodness I’m still not too late. This is so exciting. I’m hot just thinking about it.”

Light glinted off the eight inch blade he pulled from the waist band of his pleated, black dress pants. “Oh, you’ll be sorry, bitch. You think you can pay attention to me whenever YOU feel like it?”

She hit him with her most seductive smile and slowly watched as his features softened. Man this man is putty in my hands, she thought. “So are we all set for the job?”
Inch by inch he approached her, hand cupped as he raised his arms to her.

Then he’d pout and demand a kiss from her. She shuddered. That was too disgusting to contemplate. Why couldn’t he find a quick lay to work out his frustrations?

Lol, there’s four lines for you, Jenna. Don’t ask me where they’re going. Haven’t a clue.

Jaw rigid as stone, Jason glared at her, just as she feared, as she burst into the poolhouse. Still dressed in her work clothes–a business suit and pearl necklace, Winnie gapsed for breath. “Sorry, I’m late, darling. My meeting ran late.”
