All Wrapped Up

For the month of December I’m going to spotlight all of my historical Christmas romances, one a day during the week until Christmas to give everyone a good look at some books you might not have seen before. And I’m starting with the very first Christmas collection I published in November 2011.

All Wrapped Up came about because I wanted to run a Christmas in July promotion. At the time, only two years after I’d started writing romance, I didn’t have any Christmas books to highlight. I was spending most of that summer in Washington, DC attending a symposium on Shakespeare at the Folger Library, and frankly needed something to do in the evenings after classes were over.

So I came up with the idea of writing flash fiction Christmas stories every week and publishing them on my blog. They were all very short–2500 words tops for each story. And at the time I wasn’t completely committed to writing historical romance, so two of the stories are historical and two are contemporary.  They were pretty well received and so in November of that year I gathered them all into a little anthology, my dear friend Alexandra Christle edited it and designed the cover and it was published on November 5 (my mother’s birthday). The four titles are The Kissing Tree, Sing A Christmas Carol, The Present, and ‘Tis the Season.

Of the four short pieces, three of them have now been expanded into Christmas novellas that you’ll be hearing about throughout December.

My little anthology was pretty well received, and my favorite review of it said: Like eating romance M & Ms. 🙂

And as a bonus–All Wrapped Up is FREE on Amazon. Go on and grab this little anthology and begin your Christmas TBR list today!
