Just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving for 2023.
I’ve been cooking since yesterday so the collards, deviled eggs, sweet potato cassarole, my grandmother’s dressing, and the pumpkin pie are now ready. At 7:00 am I’ll be putting the turkey into the over and finishing up the squash and onions, butterbeans, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, gravy, and rolls for Thanksgiving luncheon at twelve noon.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day and to hopefully put a smile on your face (one of many for the day) here’s a clip of “A Turkey Named Brotherhood,” the hilarious production in the middle of The Addams Family Values movie. Enjoy!

Oh, man! I want to eat at your house!! Sounds like the perfect Southern dinner my mom’s family would serve!

Thank you, Nancy! It’s pretty much what my mother served every year, so that’s what I learned to cook. The only difference is all the vegetables then came from my dad’s garden: squash, onions, green beans, collards, tomatoes, butter beans. 🙂
