Lavender Monday

Welcome to Lavender Monday

Lavender is one of my favorite scents and has been my signature fragrance ever since I wrote Time Enough to Love, my medieval romance set in 1348.

The heroine, Alyce de Courcy always smells of lavender as her clothes are stored with lavender flowers “for her health” her mother told her. And that’s true, lavender has many useful properties.

One of which is to repel fleas, a good idea during the time of the bubonic plague when fleas carried the disease.

Your mother was correct, Alyce.

And the tie-in of lavender to Alyce is why I now have little lavender sachets as my signature swag at conventions and book signings. I’ll have them with me at BookLovers Con June 1-4. If you’re attending, stop by my table and pick up a sachet–for your health!

Time Enough to Love is available on Amazon, Smashwords, B & N, Apple, and Kobo.
