Dammy-boy:
“An unruly person, in allusion to the habit of the excessive use of the word damn.”
–from Albert Hyamson’s Dictionary English Phrases, 1922
I’ve had a couple of heroes who could have been called “dammy-boys.” LOL
And here’s one from the classic movie, My Fair Lady, with Rex Harrison playing dammy-boy Henry Higgins. (You needn’t watch the whole 6 minute clip if you don’t want to. The first 30 seconds will suffice.) 🙂

I’m sure there are some Dammy-Boy’s around! But what a shocking word in this movie! I’d forgotten he said it!

Isn’t that bizarre that it would get past the censor? The movie was made in 1964, and they play came out in 1956, so I’m surprised they got it past the censors too!
