Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors!
I’m back with my current WIP, a medieval short novella, called Beloveds. It has the same characters as my Time Enough to Love trilogy, so if you’ve been wanting more about Alyse, here you go. There has been some very creative punctuation demonstrated in this snippet.
Still on the very rough first draft, but I have finished the first draft and am revising it today. 🙂 This snippet continues where we left off last week.
Thomas’ smile widened and he caressed her cheek, running one long finger along her jaw. “Aye, sweet Alyse, ‘tis I. Do you feel better now, my love?”
“Better?” She must be dying to see such an apparition. Mayhap she was already dead and in heaven.
“Aye, you do not shiver as you did a moment ago,” he said as he picked up her hand and kissed the knuckles.
Warmth cascaded through her, soothing her, making her body tingle with that single touch of his lips.
That’s all for this week. Hope you enjoyed it!
My medieval e-books, Betrothal, Betrayal, and Beleaguered and two erotic contemporary novellas, Almost Perfect and Hog Wild, are available for only for .99 each for the next week on Amazon, Smashwords, and ARe . The sale ends on February 28, so come grab your copy soon!
And don’t forget to check out the rest of the Warriors here. There’s some fantastic snippets to be read.

How romantic! He really is a smooth talker, but in a good way. I hope she’s not dreaming.

That’s either the nicest apparition possible, or her dearest wish has come true.

Ahhh, poor Alyse. Still being tortured by love. I can hardly wait to read this!! You’ve given her such a perfect voice. “She must be dying to see such an apparition. Mayhap she was already dead and in heaven.” Excellent 🙂
