I’m doing something a little bit different for my Friday Favorites today. With Christmas just around the corner, I thought it would be nice to get some suggestions for holiday reading.
My personal favorite Christmas book (not mine) is Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Love the book, love the original cartoon with the voice of Boris Karloff. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. 🙂

In my own Christmas collection of short stories, my favorite is The Present, about a girl who has to dump her sister’s boyfriend for her on Christmas Eve. I’m hoping to expand this story to a novella by next Christmas.
And in the spirit of the holiday, my present to you today is a
copy of All Wrapped Up: A Collection of Christmas Stories to five (5) commenters who tell me what your favorite Christmas book or story is. Ho, Ho, Ho!

A Chrismas Carol has long since been my favorite. Congrats on your short story!

There are so many good ones! For a classic, I love A Christmas Carol. But How the Grinch Stole Christmas is a favorite as well. For recent a recent Christmas story, I enjoyed Ruthie Knox’s Room at the Inn. Hope I get to add All Wrapped Up to the list 😉

My favorite Christmas book is probably “The Polar Express.” I read it for the first time when my daughter was a baby and even though she’s a teen I still read it to her on Christmas Eve (it helps that I also have a little one at home).

I have your lovely book, so no gift for me. My favorite Christmas book has to be A Christmas Carol. Who can resist Dickens? I love the oldest movie version, too. All Wrapped Up is my contemporary favorite. Happy holidays to you, Jenna!
